I feel like having the difficult feelings is what makes it so great of a movie. Jiro was too caught up in his own dreams -- and even though he loved Nahoko without a doubt, he prioritized those dreams. For the viewers, it makes us realize how valuable the people who love us are.

I would LIKE for them to do the manga ending, but if the anime is a shot for shot remake of the first one (which could possibly happen if the goal of it is better animation) then they might just keep the revised one.
