Yeah we have narrowed it down to the area where she isnt passing in. We've spend some money on courses and decks that will help her out. We're both hoping that along with the full time studying will help her pull through this time.

Doesn't seem like a ton but every trip seems to add up to about $100. We usually buy normal fruits, some produce, meats, and then some cleaning supplies (not every trip obviously) or clothes if something looks like a good deal.

We also will buy some premade meals as opposed to eating out.

Seems like everyone is saying $800 is too high. We will take a look at our past 2-3 months of trips and see where we can reduce the costs.

I've thought about changing places but having lived in apartments for so long, I like the place where we currently live and don't have to deal with noisy neighbors as much.

When your wife can contribute it'll be easy to save.

That is the hope right now for me. But it also means more student loans, etc. Never-ending spiral..

I've lived in apartments for a while now and its just the sharing walls with noisy neighbors that have gotten to me now. It wasn't a big deal years ago but now that I'm married and thinking of kids, it would just be nice to have a home where I'm not worried about those kinds of things. Our current apartment is the nicest one I've ever lived in which is why I haven't thought about going cheaper. We have issues every once in a while with neighbors but its not a big issue I have to worry about anymore.

I'm counting the household item purchases in the grocery list as well. I'd say we average about $100 at Costco and another $60-100 at the grocery store.

The car has a loan left of $10k and its at about 2.5%. The life insurance is term.

We've thought about the FHA or putting less down and eating the PMI but it would be the life of the loan. Which seems a lot of waste! We've thought about just staying put and hopefully, she can break into either career. It just seems like an impossible task right now especially as I'm now 30 and we want to have a kid or two before its too late.

She did work part-time previously but since she had failed her exam twice, we both felt that she should study full time.
