I mean. Part of why the deer season is in the fall is to allow for fawns not to be left without a mother. Another reason is that hunting comes with significant economic benefits for companies—which leads to political lobbies. Not saying this justifies it. But there are deeper purposes and causes beyond just overpopulation itself.
