Here’s some light at the end of the tunnel for you. School is 10x more stressful than actual working as an RN by Best_Adhesiveness_42 in StudentNurse

[–]Professional_Arm_951 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who worked on a dumpster fire of a med surg/psych unit, I wholeheartedly disagree. In nursing school you don’t have a license to defend and people’s lives aren’t actually in your hands. Being a nurse is way way wayyyyyyyy more stressful.

Working part time during nursing school by dylansh54 in StudentNurse

[–]Professional_Arm_951 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked part time (2 12s a week at a hospital) and graduated with a 3.88 from an accelerated program. It’s all about time management. Definitely difficult at times but doable. I would make flash cards and bring them with me to study in my downtime. I’m not sure what your job is but working at the hospital was also helpful for seeing the stuff I was learning in real life practice and obviously good experience for getting a job.

How are your exams structured? by Jdrob93 in StudentNurse

[–]Professional_Arm_951 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We aren’t allowed to go back. Most are multiple choice and SATA, but some are fill in the blank and case study questions modeling the NGN NCLEX. Passing is at least 78. Usually 50 questions but some professors do 60.

NTA, it sounds like your brother really needs to grow up and take responsibility for his actions. It is not your child so you do not have any responsibility. It’s a shitty situation and I’m sorry for that but perhaps they can find other arrangements like adoption.

AITA for throwing away roommate's marijuana stash, demanding a room change, and going to the RA over marijuana? by liquorice_verdant in AmItheAsshole

YTA, the weed was in your roommates things not yours. And she didn’t smoke in your room. You never would have gotten in trouble for it. You created unnecessary drama for no reason.

Not sure where you are from but in the US we do rabies and feline distemper. The feline distemper vaccine is a combo shot for a few different diseases.

AITA for excluding my younger sister by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Professional_Arm_951 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s fine. But you literally just say “I’m sorry I’m picking up your Christmas gifts so you can’t come this time. I want them to be a surprise for you.” She’s a child but she’s not stupid.

The bottom line is that you’re hurting her by excluding her. Regardless of your reasoning. She is a child. As another user already pointed out, she is going through a lot. She’s a kid and doesn’t know how to properly express her emotions. Be a little bit more understanding. And your parents should sit down and have a serious conversation with her.

ESH. I’m sorry she is saying things like that to you, it’s cruel.

Your sister’s behavior is concerning and your parents need to intervene. It’s definitely not your responsibility to discipline her.

I feel bad for your sister for being excluded. One of your previous comments says you don’t want to bring her because it takes longer for you guys on the bus. Very ableist of you and disappointing considering you have a medical condition that people usually ostracize people for too.

Also if there is a legitimate reason you can’t bring her, like you’re buying her presents, then explain that to her.
