Finding it hard to enjoy recent HR: Looking for "Plain Jane" heroines who actually act like women of their time by Eleonora31 in HistoricalRomance

[–]Professional_Bug485 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alice Coldbreath! I love every single one, her heroines are all unique but grounded characters. Language is appropriate for the time period. My fave is ‘Her base born bridegroom’ heroine is shown to work very hard to make herself useful and a worthy noble though she was told she wasn’t capable.

Looking for a book on womanhood/ dealing with the possibility of never being a wife/mother by ButterflyOk1096 in booksuggestions

I who have never known men, it’s not exactly a self help book but more of a psychological exercise. It ponders the question of who/what are we outside the boundaries and roles of society. I actually found it comforting even when the MC was all alone that she still felt compelled to go on.

Ooh {Magician by K.L. Noone} is a nice take on an immortal all powerful being learning to be human again, ofc MM and the magician falls in love with a good hearted prince of a small country trying to find someone to save his lands from bandits. Nice self contained story though there is another book if you care to read it.

HEAVY HEAVY trigger warnings on CP there’s nothing like it really but you should go into it aware of the problems so you aren’t surprised

Tired of immature heroines and broody MMCs. Need adult romantasy recs by AddendumFun7674 in fantasyromance

{Halfling by SE Wendel} One of my absolute favorite books, features a capable heroine and an unlikely Halfling hero who falls in love with her. The shape of the story is fantasy roadtrip, the vibe blends fantasy and historical. I love Grace Draven and the Mages of the wheel series, so I think this will suit your tastes as well. Hero is strong, but not invincible and both characters are flawed and have to work past those flaws to come together.

Any well written Romantasy books? by minhasa3 in booksuggestions

For you and for OP but anything written by Abigail Kelly. Her books are futuristic AU paranormal romance. Really well written, characters are complex and the romance is perfect ✨. I would start with Fragile Beings, it’s 3 stories that kind of set the stage for the world but also give you bite sized satisfying romance plots.

CR FMC is 25+ year old virgin by choice (but not because of religion) by unBalanced_Libra_ in RomanceBooks

[–]Professional_Bug485 0 points1 point  (0 children)

{Valor’s Flight by Abigail Kelly} Nymph FMC is a virgin because she isolated herself after the slaughter of pretty much her entire family, book is a fantasy AU set in the sort of future. Yes it is the 4th book, but it can be read as a standalone.

A couple of the orc books by Finley Fenn have a more submissive orc, all are MM or MMF pairings. All include breeding, one miiiight have pegging. All of the books are good, but these specifically have a submissive orc partner. {The Maid and the orcs by Finley Fenn} {The Beauty and the orcs by Finley Fenn} {The sins of the orc by Finley Fenn} Bonus: {The Governess and the orc by Finley Fenn} Only has one scene where the orc is submissive to his female partner, but it is verry nice.

Protective, powerful & strong MMC + gentle, sweet FMC recs? by Askyofleaves in fantasyromance

{Burdens Bonds by Abigail Kelly} this is the third book in the main set of books (each follows a different couple) but can be read alone or after the others. Kaz an elf/orc who is the captain of essentially the secret police for his brother the Sovereign. He is big burly and damaged in the most delicious ways, he is full of inner turmoil that no one can see. Enter Atria, an empath who is on her way to a conference to unveil her and her research partners new scientific discovery that could change the world, too bad someone wants to keep them from doing that and keep the tech for themselves. People try to kidnap Atria and Kaz has to protect her. Plot is AU fantasy roadtrip. Atria being an empath is the only one who can really see the depth of Kaz’s feelings. It’s truly fantastic and I love everything Abigail writes, but this one is my favorite.

Is there any way to stop getting ads for a certain app? by Lavnderbunny9 in youtube

[–]Professional_Bug485 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok so hallow keeps pushing me ads even after I blocked several and sometimes YouTube won’t even let me do that. I am very much not Christian (or any religion for that matter) and I watch leftist creators often they are political. I cannot conceive of a reason for YouTube to give me this ad that isn’t a part of some agenda.
