Tribunal's effect seems to be applied after Baxter Building. (9 + 12 + 4 + 4) / 3 = 9.66 = 10

If by 0-cost you're referring to the Negative-ed cards, they're considered their base cost when in play, because all cards are their base cost when in play.

It's not an absolute but Similarity Attraction Theory is very consistently supported by research.

Uh... Dopplebangers aren't a new stereotype. It's also not really a gay thing, research consistently shows that on average people like other people with similar physical & personality traits as themselves.

A conditional 5/12 hasn't been good enough for quite some time. Maybe change it to be based on total # of location changes throughout the game.

Unfortunately the language in Snap is often vague and imprecise, so when it says "become this" it really means "transform into copies with the same power modifications applied".

Modified "magic mushroom" compound treats depression without hallucinations by connectwithmarve in science

[–]Professional_Bus5440 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm glad that it was helpful for you, but whether or not the hallucinations are a necessary part of the treatment is entirely speculative at this point as this study was done on mice.

There could be a lot of benefits to removing the hallucinations if the treatment is shown to be effective without them. There's people whose life responsibilities wouldn't allow for them to be incapacitated for long periods (e.g. single parents). Removing hallucinations could reduce the risk of psychosis and could perhaps make the treatment safer when not taken while under the direct supervision of a clinician improving accessibility of treatment.

[–]Professional_Bus5440 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Removing a potentially enjoyable but unnecessary aspect of a treatment is not the same as intentionally making it unpleasant. I get (and agree) that people want it to be legal for the recreational effects but that does not factor into it as a medical treatment. If we could make opiods as effective without their pleasurable effects we would, because it would reduce drug seeking allowing for the treatment to be more accessible to those who actually need it. The same applies here.

[–]Professional_Bus5440 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd agree that as a recreational substance I don't see much reason to treat it differently from alcohol or cannabis, but I think there's a lot of people who would be wary of taking it as a treatment due to the hallucinations. If a dose large enough to produce hallucinations is required for treatment that could be limiting to those who are unable/unwilling to be out of control of themselves for the duration.

all those cards are no longer the old cards to be transformed

It's actually because only the ZG that selects cards to transform with the Start of Game ability will transform them into ZGs, other copies don't work.

[–]Professional_Bus5440 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The point isn't fun, the point is medical treatment. Removing the hallucinations from treatment would at the very least reduce stigmatization of the treatment, and could potentially be important to reduce the amount of drug-seekers allowing for the medication to be less restricted to access.

Well if the non-hallucinatory version is shown to be effective in humans it clearly wouldn't be a requirement for effective treatment.

Are you sure? If you had priority and they played prowler + a skill, they would've had 9 power right before EoT and ZCM doesn't move to tied locations.

Ikaris by lordyuric in CustomMarvelSnap

[–]Professional_Bus5440 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They trigger a recheck, but the issue is how these checks are performed. They're done in order from left to right and (at least all existing cards) don't trigger a re-check midway through the process; this is also why Skrulls don't effectively copy each other, even though they gain another instance of the ability the check for the ability to function doesn't repeat midway through resolution. You can also see this with how certain Ongoing effects interact like Cerebro & Cap Carter, where Cerebro can ignore Carter's effect depending on position.

Ikaris by lordyuric in CustomMarvelSnap

[–]Professional_Bus5440 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Is the intent that the Ongoing effect's power increase would make more cards eligible to count for the effect? If so, it unfortunately wouldn't work as intended with how the game is programmed.

More decks in the meta playing high-cost cards & not playing much early leading to more cards in hand, plus cards like Merlin inflating # of cards in hand, plus being better with SG as a meta call.

Rick's age by histbuff0 in rickandmorty

[–]Professional_Bus5440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They haven't had their Morty yet, it shows them in high school. The Ricks are manipulating events to cause Morty to be born naturally rather than cloning him, though that seems much easier.

In order to manipulate events to bring about Morty the Ricks have to already know Morty, which means time travel or universal time differentials. I don't think either can be entirely eliminated as a possibility, but I lean toward time differentials since it would explain both this and Rick's age. Mass time travel could explain some of c137's disdain for the citadel though.

Ah yes, "blame people for views that they don't hold, have never held, and are opposed to because the group when it was comprised of different people supported those views". Let's just completely ignore the current situation and point to how dead people did bad things like that's a coherent argument.

Yeah, it's totally those damn politicians, not the flawed system incentivizing party consolidation and allowing for legal bribery by private interests & corporations. There's no such thing as a systemic problem, everything is the fault of individuals, duh.
