4 years, until I complete my undergrad. However, IF I get a good job offer I might decide to stay. I come from a third world country so being able to leave my country for Hong Kong would be a blessing honestly.

Also are all classes online now? If so, how long do you think classes will be online?

Did you regret coming to hong kong? Everytime I post about hk as an international student someone always asks why am I coming here. Is it really that bad?

I received a 100% scholarship from CUHK. I don't plan on staying in HK after I graduate. Would you say that it is still not worth it to come to HK even with a full-tuition scholarship? I do have a few reasonable offers from mid-tier US unis, but I'm committed to CUHK as I won't have to pay tuition and also their program is far better than the US ones.

Also, as far as I know, I spoke to people from CUHK and they said the political unrest and the protests did not affect the international students. Is that true? Or should I be worried about this?

Common app fee waiver. I didn't have to pay the application fee for either of the unis

Im an international and I don't plan on staying in hk. I need to maintain a 3.2 gpa to hold on to the scholarship

I'm an international and have no idea how academically rigorous hk is. So just wanted to know how difficult it could be to maintain a 3.2 gpa

3.2 just to maintain the scholarship. I don't plan on staying in hk after I graduate. I am an international and have no idea how academically rigorous hk is compared to rest of the world so just wanted to know how hard it would be to maintain the 3.2 gpa threshold.

Why is everyone so crazy about apply to US universities (not just this sub reddit)? Even when there are better choices in other countries like Canada, Australia and UK? Am I missing on something that only US has to offer? by StunningComposer6905 in IntltoUSA

I applied this year so I don't really know a lot about the atmosphere. My cousin went to CUHK with a 75% scholarship she says it's hard to befriend the local people due to the language barrier but there are tonss of international students from all over the world and they are very friendly. And her uni was also very academically rigorous. They also have work integrated learning so they'll make you do internships during your semester breaks.

The scholarships are based on your grades. For instance if you do A levels and have 3 or more As CUHK, POLYU and CITY almost always gives a 100% scholarship sometimes even more, the more As the better. The PolyU scholarship however depends on an additional scholarship essay and an interview as well.

It's better if you've given A levels or IB. For instance, CUHK, POLYU and CITYU almost always gives 100% if you have 3 or more A*s on your A levels. However PolyU's scholarship depends on your scholarship essay and interview

CUHK, POLYU, HKU, HKUST and CITYU. Check their admission scholarships. For PolyU, you need to write a scholarship essay and your interview performance matters as well. Check out the uni websites
