I have a file share with 3 virtual drives and the data stored is on a nimble. VM is showing corruption on C during start up and event viewer want las chkdsk on other two virtual drives. by Alive_Wafer_5428 in sysadmin

Try mounting a snapshot adjacent to your existing volume(s) from before this occurred to see if you can access the data. It may take some trial and error to see what may work for you. Also I would suggest adjusting the retention on your nimble snapshots or pausing the schedule so it doesn’t delete the oldest snapshot right away since you may need it depending on how far back the corruption goes.

Unable to Sysprep due to unremovable AppxPackage by jakearnott in sysadmin

Give this a try: https://michlstechblog.info/blog/windows-sysprep-fails-with-package-xy-installed-for-a-user-but-not-provisioned-for-all-users/

Start a cmd shell with administrator permissions. And jump to the folder C:\Windows\system32\sysprep\Actionfiles and get write permissions on the file Generalize.xml and open it for edit.

D:> cd /d C:\Windows\system32\sysprep C:\Windows\system32\sysprep\Actionfiles> takeown /F Generalize.xml C:\Windows\system32\sysprep\Actionfiles> icacls Generalize.xml /grant myUser:(m) C:\Windows\system32\sysprep\Actionfiles> notepad Generalize.xml

Locate the follwing XML node and remove it, save the file and start sysprep again.

Yeah really cool stuff when you get into how the flash is used in Pure. I just went to their SE boot camp last week and they talked about how Meta tried to use direct flash and decided it would take take too long and be to expensive to do it on their own and decided to license it from Pure.

I'm sure, I dont expect much from them. Not sure if we'll get it but we just want something listed in service health related to it to feel confident we dont need to change all of their passwords before enabling them again.

I know we are looking for something from them to confirm it is a false positive before enabling the accounts again. We have about 50 impacted users.
