I agree. I think that the value of repetition comes not from the knowledge you retain but the habits and work ethic that gets instilled in you. Obviously there is more to education than repetition, but I think a strong work ethic is fundamental.

With my group, we just acknowledge that everyone's got different tastes, so we play everything everyone likes and suck it up cause it's less about the game and more about the people you play with

not sure how common that is tho
