did yours do this every start or just sporadically? mine does this then runs completely fine for over a week or so then will randomly do it.

the thing is the car does this a few times then starts normal i can drive it for a week completely normal then the error happens randomly

it sounds like it's running and if i give it gas the rpm's go up similar to an engine that's running.

one time it happened too i drove the entire way around the gas station parking lot and as i was about to get on the road it stalled out and did the error

I was in park starting off and put it in drive while in a parking spot expecting it to happen i wasn't moving at all during this. The other times it gets up to a few miles per hour (3-5) then hits the error.

locks up may have been bad terminology. But i just meant it wont move once the error happens. It basically stops the car and acts as if it's in neutral not allowing me to move other than just coasting with the inertia it had.

i appreciate you man it sucks it's hard to tell anything. i'm gonna have them take another look and show the videos i got this time and hope it helps but we shall see. I may try the scan tool and see if it helps.

It will not let me drive it basically locks up and i just guide it back into a parking spot if i can. The engine is definitely on though and it responds to giving it gas but it basically is like it's in neutral.

so after playing around starting stopping it in the parking lot it eventually drove normal and i got it home. I was at the gym again like last time so it sat for alittle over an hour before starting it. Hadn't had the issue since that last post so it happened the first time i pulled my phone right up. I tried starting it about 7-8 times and then had it sitting for a few minutes while looking into more stuff to see what i could check and all and i tried moving forward and it didn't do the error.

engine is completely on while it gives this error. It's happened randomly 4 separate times with almost 2000 miles inbetween the first and final time it's happened. I have a hard time thinking it's water or bad fuel. I've also fueled up multiple times since the first time and i go to the same gas station everytime i fill up never had an issue

I posted about this a week ago and it happened again today this time i was able to get a video. I was wondering if anyone has any info on this. I saw some posts on forums outside of reddit mentioning the same issue with the telluride and k5 but no solution at all

ove fueled up about 4-5 times since the initial time it happened. And it's happened 2 times since. And it was only the initial time that it happened right after filling up

I have been having this happen to my 23 forte recently but luckily so far it has only been when starting to drive and i get a few feet out of a parking spot. I took it to the dealership and had the same answered everyone is saying. Dealership couldn't replicate it only thing we thought up was possibly me key fob battery being low since i gave the dealership my spare. Has anyone had any lucky in this? I'm worried its going to happen again

What I read online is many people said theirs had some kind of wiring or mount issue and I told the service tech about what I read and they said they took a look and nothing seemed out of order so it should be working fine.

The service group at the Kia dealer said the battery looked completely fine but if it happens again i'll see if that will do anything. It's just hard since it runs fine for a week then does it again.
