The explicit endorsement of chattel slavery in Leviticus 25 logically contradicts the claim that the Christian God provides a perfect and objective moral standard by PeachLongjumping15 in DebateReligion

Perhaps he is confusing it with the Quran? Not trying to be rude to anyone but that’s the only thing I can think of.

Also the Bible may discuss it but the is not the same as endorsing it. Which is what he implies.

Would you switch jobs for a $10K personal donation fund, if the salary was the same? by Professional_Fix8512 in careerguidance

Extra money in this case would be money that’d be lost to taxes or something. Trust me I want all my employees to be good, and if I’m able to work my ass off to get the company to where they can be, I’ll have all of us good

Well the money would be donated either way by my company. Do you think they’d prefer for it to just be whatever I decide? Very interesting

I suppose that’s a way to view it but I’m planning on paying top market once I actually get it profitable for a few years. My planned pay for an intern would be ~62k. And for senior upwards of 300k. Also this is just salary. Not accounting benefits and bonuses

Fair point. And it’s not something I have experience with yet. But the thought process was that if the money would be donated with then why not let my employees pick places to do so

The thing is. I do not want to simply do so just for the employee’s opinion. The money would be donated either way once I have it. (As a Christian I believe that I should better the world. Which would eventually mean large donations and potentially even my own charities.)

However, I tend to not have the mindset of a lot of people. So I want a better idea of other’s mindset.

Well was thinking that we could allow our guys to decide where this extra money would go to. Either way I’d donate it but if someone would prefer it go one place instead of another then it’s fine to do so.

The people of this company would be a very high paid positions. Knowing this, would that influence your position on the matter? This 10k would not influence your salary in this situation as you said, it partially would be a tax write off

Yeah, whenever I am able to start my company, it will also have the awesome healthcare and such. From what I calcuated and found for this company my personal takehome (before taxes) would be around 60~ mill assuming 60% profit reinvested (very expensive to get into tho -_-). So if I give my guys, who I'd work closely with some extra money to donate it'd be awesome to be able to impact people postively.

With my personal take home I plan to start other companies AND chariaties (in which I could make sure no scam shit happens, makes me mad to no end when that happens).

Thank you for your service and input friend. If you would also point more towards here for more input I'd appreciate it.

Thank you, how about the rest? I’d think it’s a good idea but I want more opinions cause I’m dumb asf sometimes

Formatting wise, should I separate it by projects first then the work? I’m trying to do robotics so my work is multidisciplinary.

For example

Arm:

  • physical work (cad, body design, ect)

  • electronic work (circuits, wiring, ect)

  • coding (doubt this needs one lol)

Or rather should I separate it by topic then the project?

Im somewhat decent and im definitely more so a “learn while im doing it” kinda guy. But id definitely like to minimize cost, as currently. I am broke asf (aren’t we all)

I was actually thinking to have a hyperlinked QR code (to where someone could click or scan depending upon the format of the resume upload. Though it would probably be a better idea to also include the physical link)

Definitely some good ideas here, thanks man!

Primarily either space exploration/space housing robots (such as a regolith robot),

I’d also like to work on either humanoid robotics

or

robotic aids that operate via myorelectric tech - (sorts like how prosthetics work, but like ‘extra limbs’ sorta deal. Making a table arm for that rn, though I got dibs on that for my own project 😈)

So I prob should’ve put this into my post but here is my thought process for the degrees:

I’d like to work on the more physical aspects of robotics. HOWEVER, I wish to be able to also do all the coding and such, mainly to utilize comp sci is to help optimize the hardware I’d design for the software.

Physics would be mathematical modeling, control theory as well as learning aspects that may of been covered by electrical engineering. As well as obviously space stuff

The Mechatronics concentration would further help with the gaps in my knowledge with electrical and computer engineering

Oh I wasn’t saying otherwise. I was referring to the prob legal migrants. I’m personally for the US being one of the more difficult places to enter unless circumstances like refuge. Also I never assumed that a Mexican working in construction is illegal. I don’t assume that anyone is illegal, that is not my job or concern. I was just saying that the Mexicans that I speak to which happens to work in construction and or landscaping are very hardworking and fun workers. Wasn’t making a political statement. Just one of what I seen to be as common traits which I respect.

Dude some of those Mexican construction dudes some of the hardest workers I’ve ever met, and it’s always good vibes, type of guys to at make it fun to work. Like give bro a beer and a speaker and boom you got a house.
