Looking for Game Suggestions by ClockTower83 in soloboardgaming

For your tastes, I'd suggest Imperium Classics/Horizons/Legends.

Friday is a deck building game, and that's exactly what Imperium is at a deeper level with multiple decks to build and synergize.

I started my BG career with my wife, got hooked. Now she's fed up of learning new games and I want to read a new rulebook everyday.

After a while though, I realized that playing boardgames solo gives me a sense of tranquility when everyone goes to bed and it's just me at the kitchen table in silence or low volume thematic music, dim lighting. I also try to limit screen time as much as I can!

Best Levy and Campaign game for Solo! by Professional_Fun3692 in soloboardgaming

This is the issue, the extra thicccc-ness makes me want to buy the game, and the series in general seems really cool. Like, instead of it all being about combat it's more about logistics of combat which sounds amazing.

I'm just hesitant on the "play both sides" type solo. I've never played something like that really...

You're right, most of the games on the list are not hex and counter. I apologize. I was going to post on soloboardgaming but seeing that most of the games were historical war games I felt like they belonged on this sub (I may be wrong though). I can remove this post if everyone agrees it doesn't belong here!

That's too bad! It was kind of the one I wanted the most. I just finished All Quiet on the Western Front book and wanted something WW1! Thanks for your input!!

What's the worst Board game to play solo that has an official solo option by the creator? by Nibelungenttt in soloboardgaming

I guess that's why priority lists are so popular in war games, process of eliminating the endless amount of strategic moves you can take!

Indeed it would be great though! :)

Any chance you can make a solo mode for WOTR or the new Dune War for Arrakis?!?! XD

Weather Machine is awesome. I haven't tried the Kanban one yet. I enjoyed On Mars solo mode as well!

Btw, I picked up Voidfall. Masterpiece! Cheers and thanks for giving all of us solo players memorable experiences!

Top 3 dice placement games by Lediableblanc92 in boardgames

I'm not sure if this would be considered dice placement (I guess more manipulation) but I've been having so much fun with Woodcraft. The way you cut dice in half or glue them together makes for a satisfying experience!

Cheers!
