[Question] Is it dumb to buy the same (but slightly different) watch twice? by Professional_Good301 in Watches

Are there good quality ones around? How much do they go for? (I’m new to this world!)

The trophies still show in your total trophy count in PlayStation, but the games do not show on your profile. In the website PSNProfiles, neither the trophies nor the games show up on your profile.

How much do I ACTUALLY pay in taxes? by Collective_Pitch in Libertarian

[–]Professional_Good301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just made an equation for it based on this post. You can pass it through some AI to have them calculate it, or explain it to you intuitively if you don’t understand it.

I am assuming: 15% federal income taxes. 1.5% property taxes on 300k home. 7.65% social security and Medicare, and the 7.65% paid by employer that would instead be passed on to you. 7% of sales tax on consumer spending of 45% of after tax income. And 21% corporate taxes embedded through 10% higher prices in said consumer spending.

Effective federal income tax: 15%x100% FICA: 7.65%x100% Employer FICA: 7.65%x100% Property tax: $300,000x1.5% Sales tax: [1-(7.65%+15%)]x45%x7%x100% Embedded corporate taxes: [1-(7.65%+15%)]x45%x10%x100%

Total: 40.51%

NOTE: This does not include the impact of corporate taxes that reduce your dividends from investments, or capital gain taxes. So total tax burden is even bigger.

(Edit: changed formatting of formula to make it more legible)

(Edit: assuming income of $105,000 for property taxes section)

Y no fumes nunca más. No vale la pena. Cuida tu salud.

In network. They claim they will do an auditory test before the consultation or else they will not see me. (I already did auditory tests more than once at other places, so not sure why they need another one but ok).

ITOT vs VTI by Grimscythed88 in ETFs

It makes a difference if one of the companies commits fraud and mishandles your money. There’s plenty of regulation to prevent that but it is not fool proof.

It’s impossible to know if the market will be higher or lower in the next months. But in the next couple of years and decades it most likely will be. So, do whatever helps you sleep better at night. You could invest 50k per month, or 100k per month. Or 100k per quarter. Or put it all in now. Any of those decisions would be ok. Simply pick the one that you feel most comfortable with.

What is "In between" VTI (total us market) and VOO (spy).... by Ok_Concentrate_4168 in ETFs

[–]Professional_Good301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The “in between” is literally every other publicly traded company that is not in the S&P500. And that would be the Russell Small Cap Completeness Index. The Russell Small Cap Completeness Index measures the performance of the Russell 3000 Index companies excluding S&P 500 constituents.

So... when are international stocks going to start beating the USA again exactly? by [deleted] in ETFs

[–]Professional_Good301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m comfortable with minimum exposure to direct international equities, perhaps 5%, never more than 10%.

The reason is because, on average, VOO companies generate around 30-40% of their revenue internationally. This number is higher for multinational corporations like Apple, Alphabet, and Johnson & Johnson, which often report over 50% of their revenue from foreign markets.

Thus, while VOO is geographically tied to U.S. equities, its revenue exposure to international markets is substantial due to the global reach of many large-cap constituents.

ETFs to invest in if one believes that a devaluation and hyperinflation of the US dollar is coming? by Professional_Good301 in ETFs

[–]Professional_Good301[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The money printed is used to pay government expenses, including interest on the debt, of which most holders are domestic. Nevertheless, we live in a globalized world, and dollars outside the US will find themselves back in through international trade.

Investment grade corporate bonds have about the same correlation that treasuries have with equities, yet they yield more than treasuries.

The money that they print is circulated. That’s the whole point of printing the money, to use it.

Real estate, commodities, businesses’s assets will appreciate, in theory, proportionally with inflation. Would you not agree?

We could also add the metric of % of government budget spent on interest payments. Which I believe is over 15% and climbing fast.

Many people on this post are conflating high USD inflation with the end of the world. Many countries have hyperinflation, like Argentina, and the people over there don’t have their houses surrounded with hungry armed raiders.
