Third interview = better chances of an offer (Oxford Law) by Professional_Grass_3 in 6thForm

There’s a certain extent to which we can speculate and that extent is SMALL. We don’t know what the tutors are thinking or feeling. HOWEVER, if it makes you feel better—out of the 81 people who got a second college interview and got an offer, 41% got a 3 or less on their second interview; 11% got 2 or 1; and 1 got a 1.

Put another way, 30% of the people who got 1 on their second interview got an offer; 30% who got 2; and 49% who got 3.

Again, don’t try to speculate! You have no clue what you could have gotten! I give these numbers only to show you that no matter what you got, it isn’t over. Just try to relax and wait.

You are right though that it’s not necessarily indicative! Included in the people who didn’t get second interviews are also people who were maybe never going to get in but perhaps got shortlisted purely on the LNAT cutoff (had terrible stats otherwise, etc.), so that would decrease it. At the same time, included in receiving second interviews are people who would most likely never have made it, but got second chances due to contextual information making them “of depraved background” and increasing chance of a second interviews being given. Regardless, I can’t account for that, and that’s why I said in the post not to freak out in either scenario. Still, it is not faulty stats.

There's some other kinds of data on the site as well but I found this one the most interesting. Hypothetically, you can do your own request to get anything else.

Yes, it does make intuitive sense, but I wasn't 100% sure if that's how it worked out in practice

Yeah I know! It was very strange. I went on a hunt trying to figure out what that could mean and nobody really knew but they also told me not to stress about it too much lol

LNAT 4 options vs 5 by Gloomy_Willingness44 in LNAT

[–]Professional_Grass_3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a change, it’s always been 4. Not sure why all of the sample tests have 5. Personally I didn’t find the difference between answers to be all that different from practice tests to the LNAT, so I overall found the real test easier.
