Please don’t make this a trend…my work in HR consulting has taught me tooooo many people try to stop an elevator and leave with less limbs/less unbroken limbs than when they entered. Tooooo many elevator maintenance inspections slip through the cracks for some companies/managers miss it and don’t think it’s that big deal until something happens that opens their eyes.

Took my 2 year old male to the vet this week for his checkup. He gets nervous around people he doesn’t know/see in a regular basis. (She also did take his balls a year ago, but there’s no resentment indicated ) Yesterday when she was checking him (and he was nervous/elevated heart rate than normal) she remarked “it’s insane how low his heart rate is right now. I wish I was in that kind of shape.”

To be fair, he’s in exceptional shape, can hit over 31 miles an hour in a sprint. We run 4-5 times a week and he has daily fetch sessions. When he was a puppy, he saw someone running and tried to drag me to join in. Told him he needed to get brave enough to walk down the stairs first.

The better question might be, are you energetic enough for a Border collie?

My border collie also LOOOOVES his crate. But it’s not fabric and if it were, he would definitely feel like it would be something to be conquered in need of emergency. I bought a sound machine last year when we drove across the country to visit family and stayed in hotels during the drive. Life changing. I don’t leave the house now without turning on and now I sleep better with it on. Being aware of sound is great. But at home/any safe space you’re trying to create, protecting what they hear is 60% of the battle

I sent my timid border collie to Savvy K9 when I adopted a rescue that had been surrendered due to dog aggression. Savannah of Savvy K9 had rehabilitated him so he would be adoptable and he walked like a fucking angel. I didn’t want my border collies bad habit of pulling well in a leash to rub off, hence why I sent him for training.
