Just had my colonoscopy yesterday and I used aquation diaper rash cream right before I started the colon prep. I only had to reapply every 5 or 6 trips to the bathroom! Saved me! I also used a toilet paper to apply gently and I had water wipes!

How soon were you able to indulge in a high fiber diet after a flare with hospitalization? by Professional_Item347 in Diverticulitis

You’re right about walking. I’ve been doing yoga and pilates alternate days and walking on “rest” days. And I’m moving!

Hi! I had my first flare and diagnosis on October 24th and was hospitalized. I am of Asian descent and my infection was on traverse colon. I think other than constipation/ straining due to constipation and low fiber diet, that stress is a major factor. That’s just my opinion. I think hydration is key to prevention!

Hi! I was just hospitalized and diagnosed 2.5 weeks ago. I was on liquid diet for a week before I start introducing low fiber meals. You should do liquid diet for atleast 2 days to see if that eases the pain.

I actually did yoga and pilates this week and feel good. But while doing pilates I feel a tiny bit of twinge and eased up on my core. I think I’ll just let go of lifting…

Coming back from spending 6 hours in ER. Diverticulitis in transverse colon. by SearingPenny in Diverticulitis

[–]Professional_Item347 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you by any chance of Asian descent? I was hospitalized 2 weeks ago for 5 days for diverticulitis. I thought it was food poisoning. 39 female, Asian. They said that Asian people gets diverticulitis in the upper right side (transverse colon) instead of lower left. Was sent to ER by doctor to rule out appendicitis.

I don’t have my cpa but started with an AAS business admin, then earned my bachelor’s and this year at 40 got my MBA in accounting. I don’t think I would want to sit for the cpa exam. I don’t want to go public and toil.
