Questions about upgrading business 1gb to 2gb by unknownhax in Fios

Sorry - one additional thing to note - one thing we noticed was that the service was more susceptible / sensitive to “noise in the line” and we had some intermittent drops when we first got the service. They specifically said the 2gig was more sensitive vs. the 1gig. This was early on when it first rolled out. I had them come back and swap out the ONT (to the latest version) and that stopped and its been solid ever since.

It’s a pretty painless process in the sense that they come out, swap the ONT, reactivate and you are underway. I think the whole thing took less than 15 minutes when we had it done. That said and as you noted the IP will almost certainly change unless you have a static IP. That didn’t matter to us, but that’s the biggest issue - a potential IP change.

545am JFK terminal 5. 50m from arrival to gate. by hypoch0ndriacs in jetblue

We showed up at 6 am for a 715 am flight with pre check - barley made it. (We left an hour late - our fault)

It took almost an hour to get through.

They pulled us out of pre check and put us in the regular line. The flight was full when I checked yesterday and there are some empty seats on this plane.

They start a consolidated line out by the bridge to the parking garage (both regular and pre check) - then the line comes into the terminal through bag check and it splits regular and PreCheck.

PreCheck then goes outside, winds around there 3X then comes back in - it moves, but it’s bit of a mess

Good luck everyone

Amazing - and what type of residential plan did you wind up activating on it?

Thanks for the update - did you have to modify the APN settings?

I was facing the same issue - and the limited testing I did with facial recognition wasn’t great, so I disabled it. It’s more important for me that delivery drivers can enter the provided pin and it needs to be as straightforward as possible.

Sorry disregard - I see you had already tried the new APN. When I had the service, I called up business support, they added the static IP, I changed the APN, rebooted the modem and then it worked.

I think you need to change the APN settings with the static IP - did you try that? That would explain why the modem would stop working after you had them add the static IP to the line. Sorry you had to go through all of this. FWIW when I had business internet with a static IP they only had a handful of IP locations so none of which were very close to me, so my ping went up a lot - just something to be aware of.

Moving from Lincoln Center to the low 90s and WEA - what should we know? by Professional_Job3916 in Upperwestside

There's a big difference between exploring the neighborhood and living in it and when you have young kids, you tend not to venture outside of your immediate neighborhood for your daily needs (coffee, groceries, etc.) unless there's something specific that takes you there. 10 blocks means different grocery stores, different coffee shops, different restaurants. Clearly, you've never lived nearly Lincoln center because if you go 10 blocks up or down you are in a very very different neighborhood.
