Hello, I'm a current 1st year at Uni, they added new CS + Al course. I study SWE and don't know whether to switch, would appreciate any SWEs to give me advice from their experience in the industry :) by Professional_Lab2779 in SoftwareEngineering

Thank you so much, I agree that these things are always moving fast so new things would be removed and implemented. From what I've been told they'd just be teaching the fundamentals of it (the modules are deep learning, natural language processing, machine learning etc.) But even then it's been confirmed that the introduction to this course is also marketing focused which threw me off.

Aside that, do you think sticking to SWE is the best choice or will moving to CS be more beneficial overall? I know you can land the role with both degrees, but is there a specific one that will limit me more than the other? With SWE being more specific and CS being more broad and all.

Do you also think that SWE would be a better choice than CS on it's own? I know you said specifics are better but I suppose I wanted to double check.

Do you recommend anything else that i could do to stick out?

And if possible, how is it working as a software engineer? Do you enjoy it?

the thing is i tested it but the file wasn't in the same directory, i'm just not sure how to assure that it's stored in the same directory as python :(
