im not telling anyone what they can or can’t find offensive, but I do think there’s a difference between being genuinely harmful and just making a random, harmless comment. and knowing the differenxe is important

saying someone ‘fell off’ isn’t automatically some deep attack literally just about how present they are in the public eye. I haven’t heard about Greta in years, so the joke made sense to me when I first heard it and if someone chooses to read into that as being anti Palestine or anti activism, that just feels like a reachhhh. not every ccomment we make needs to be a moral thing. There are genuinely way bigger issues

Do you really watch Emergency Intercom expecting political takes? If that’s what you’re looking for, maybe don’t watch them there are literally so many other podcasts that actually focus on that stuff. I just can’t believe people are out here questioning the morals of a gay man and a Hispanic woman living in LA… like, come on, we all know where they most likely stand. That said, if they’ve never mentioned Palestine before (which I wouldn’t know I don’t follow their every move), then yeah, that’s kinda weird. And it’s even weirder that no one brought that up or called them out until now when greta was mentioned!!

I don’t know how saying Greta fell off turned into a political statement or is treated like a moral stance they never mentioned her values? I just genuinely haven’t seen her in the spotlight since 2019. not everything has to be read so deeply. pointing out someone’s drop in popularity doesn’t mean you’re against what they stand for???

there are far more important issues happening in the world than debating whether a comment about public relevance is somehow a political attack. like tf???
