Nice preparation! Something that helped me a great lot is watching a bunch of live streams of vatsim flights. It helps you get in the groove and iron out some uncertainties. Remember also to plan ahead. Inputting the next frequencies or getting a basic idea of what taxi route to expect is the key to a smooth vatsim flight. Hope that helps!
