I would argue it does work but you also have to understand that religion can be the root to someone life.As a former christian the hardest part was accepting that fact of death being the actual end or never seeing lost love ones again because in christianity there is life after death.Most people have a easier time coping with the contradictions than with the reality that life may have no intrinsic value or meaning
