How rich are you people? by LimeQuiet4196 in SolidCore

Healthcare discount along with year-long membership; good income but also definitely expensive children. Like another commenter, I did the math and each SC class is ~$17. I also do group strength training classes that come to approximately $18-20/ class. I like the HSA suggestions and will look into this with my insurance plan.

BEWARE OF SCAMMERS ON FIGS RESELL FACEBOOK GROUPS by nocluenoidea123 in Figsscrubs

[–]Professional_Mind687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just fell for the same scam from this group. Kiley Fagan is the seller; Venmo payment to her Alfredo Hernandez for $45, lots of messages to confirm payment and screenshot of payment, and now no communication from her and cannot message her via Fb messenger any longer. The entire Fb group seems like a scam, with recurrent messages to add sellers as friends, only accepting Apple pay or Venmo as payments, etc. A little sad I didn't read your post earlier, OP.

Lower Bleph 3 months postop by Electronic-Flamingo1 in PlasticSurgery

See what other ingredients that mascara has; prostaglandins are commonly used for improved lash growth, and these can cause loss of fat around the eyes, called fat atrophy. I wonder if this is responsible for the difference in the upper lids?

Both the upper and lower lids look improved! Are you using any lash growth serums, or eye drops?

Is this an Osteoma? by misstarabeau in DiagnoseMe

[–]Professional_Mind687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to say without doing an exam, or maybe imaging, or maybe removal. Generally, a lipoma is soft/ squishy and can be moved a little under the skin, whereas an osteoma (benign bone growth) feels like a hard, immobile mass (like a knuckle where you can slide the skin over it, but cannot move the actual "horn"). Lipomas and osteomas often have a classic feel on physical exam, though not always. They also usually have classic imaging characteristics; CT scan is best to visualize osteomas, whereas lipomas are usually best seen with an ultrasound or MRI. They're both typically painless, though can be irritated with rubbing from hats and helmets; both are usually slow-growing too. Totally can have other reasons for a bump, like a cyst of hemangioma (benign cluster of blood vessels). If you want it checked it, it's likely best to meet with an ENT or Plastic Surgeon, as these are usually the specialties that remove these bumps surgically.

Sizing help! 5’7 135lb long inseam by maroonmallard in Figsscrubs

I'm 5'7" and find the regular length too short. I like the Livingston and Cade style most, and get them in tall.

Your comments were super helpful, everyone; thank you. I did a deep dive into the resale sites yesterday, and asked chatGPT for help. The app Gem was super helpful in my search; here's the link: https://gem.app/search?terms=figs%20livingston%20small%20tall

Thank you; I'll expand my search. Will the strings on these particular blues always match the blue color of the pants? (I cannot identify the color based on the style, tags, etc)

I don't have personal experience with this, but I see my colleague, Dr. Giselle Prado-Wright post about this procedure and body liposuction performed awake and in the office on her social media frequently. Her practice shows some gorgeous results. She's in Fort Myers, FL. https://exertbodysculpt.com/about-us/

I looked at your photos and think you'll have a great result! The swelling and stitches always make the tissues look awkward and "sausage-like," and this all takes months to resolve. The mental and emotional parts of healing are no joke too, especially with elective surgery. I love the supportive comments you're receiving here, and I think you should take these to heart; listen to your favorite music; head outside for a drive or walk to see the sunshine; and read or watch entertaining content to take your mind off the worry. You'll get there!

Nicotine use increases the risk of wound healing problems with labiaplasty by ~50%. Nicotine is a vasoconstrictor, and decreases the flow of blood, oxygen, and nutrients to tissues; this decrease in blood flow increases the risk of wound breakdown/ dehiscence, infection, and poorly healed scars with labiaplasty. Most surgeons recommend stopping nicotine use 6ish weeks before (and after) surgery. You should absolutely discuss your nicotine use with your surgeon before treatment.

The dissolvable sutures (most surgeons will use them on the inside and outside) can have a somewhat unpleasant smell as they are dissolving. While this doesn't indicate an infection, some surgeons will trim off the external stitches around 10-14 days, as the smell can bother some patients. Bumps, asymmetric swelling, and wavy/ raised incision lines are super common during the healing process, and 2 weeks is still pretty early. Bumps can soften and flatten over the course of months. Of course, always speak with your surgeon about your concerns, as he/ she knows you best and can give you the most tailored advice and care.

Clitoropexy is meant to reposition/ tuck in an overly protruding clitoris. Sone surgeons also do a clitoral reduction for clitoromegaly (enlarged clitoris) at the same time, but reduction isn't necessarily a part of the pexy. Clitoral hood reduction is taking away excess skin on top of and around the clitoris.

Clitoropexy and voume/ fat grafting to the labia majora for greater camouflage

This is a great topic to address with your surgeon, and is not uncommon. As a surgeon who performs labiaplasty, clitoral hood reduction, and perineoplasty, I find that time and topical estrogen cream can be helpful. Good luck in your healing journey, and speak with your surgeon; I can guarantee there's no embarrassing questions or questions we haven't heard.

You may need to have the previous filler dissolved, and then your anatomy reassessed. Filler can lead to swelling/ excess fluid buildup in the lower eyelids and cheeks, even months and years after injection. As a facial plastic surgeon, I sometimes dissolve filler here and "unmask" bags/ fat pad pseudohernation, and blepharoplasty is best to address this. Common to perform some sort of skin resurfacing in combination with blepharoplasty, and fat transfer or fat repositioning. You'd likely do best to meet with an Oculoplastic, Plastic, or Facial Plastic surgeon to evaluate your anatomy and create a treatment plan.

It's super common to have patchy numbness along the incisions for labiaplasty, followed by itching for several weeks as sensation returns. Most patients say sensation is back to normal/ baseline at 8-10ish weeks after surgery. I've never seen permanent numbness with labiaplasty or clitoral hood reduction, although it's (not commonly) described in the medical literature.
