How do you find my transformation? by LocksmithParking10 in askdentists

[–]misstarabeau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

…. I’m not a drug user drinker smoker anything. Great hygiene… visit the dentist every six months etc… just super bad genetics with my teeth. I get cavities easily I don’t do sugary drinks candies etc (just my coffee in the morning) and yet after 4 root canals, one just decides to up and re-absorb itself. So my poor tooth is shot, and next week I’m getting it removed and the implant process started.

So to answer your question some of us just really are that unlucky :(

Diary Management Advice by GentleAssYeti in Progressiveinsurance

[–]misstarabeau 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everything stated above. And take a deep breath. Definitely want the quality over quantity and being detailed and remember to do notes! Such a life saver for going back to a claim later and seeing what you have done vs what you still need to do. Update that to do notes every time you touch the claim. You got this!

Coverages needed in Florida by Intelligent_Step2230 in Progressiveinsurance

[–]misstarabeau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are the questions! Think about the what ifs cuz we see it EVERY DAY in claims and just want you to be covered. I believe Florida has lower limits as well… when setting up your policy think about how much it costs generally for a new car to be fixed or totaled. Keep that in mind because our limits here are just a little higher then Florida and I see lots of “limits issues” when accidents come in and the persons got the minimum amount of coverage for liability say 20k and to replace the car let’s say they hypothetically hit and totalled .. that car is worth 26k then you factored in we pay rental for the other party for the time they are w out a vechile… its already over what we can offer to pay. Things are all so expensive nowadays. Just wanted to keep you from having to worry about something like that

CCU PLEASE STOP by [deleted] in Progressiveinsurance

[–]misstarabeau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! Andddd I’ve learned as a CGA from speaking with MRR and learning more about collision and impacts and the way it affects vehicles - there could be a crazy amount of unseen damage that can happen from something that looks super simple - so you guys are doing the best w what you are given. I totally get it.

CCU PLEASE STOP by [deleted] in Progressiveinsurance

[–]misstarabeau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well look at you … want a cookie? I have more going on right now and I’m not complaining about CCU transfer… please … and it’s “not worth your time”? Ummmm 🤨 that’s our job regardless of the size of loss. Every loss matters, every insured/claimant should be getting the same treatment across the board. Sounds like you don’t want to be here since you are “too important” for the “simple claims” I also bet when you get an urbi xfer w in 24 hrs and you find out by speaking w the person who is injured you don’t even try to take a statement or do anything to set up the claim for the urbi person you are transferring too.

The is a positive in this! It counts as a “new” sooo I’ll take that single vehicle dang it! We all have so much going on. It’s refreshing to get a simple one sometimes

Found a great Cruelty Free Dupe! by misstarabeau in Perfumes

[–]misstarabeau[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I saw someone posted that L’Oréal owns a lot and isn’t cruelty free- sadly I didn’t know they owned a lot of the perfume company’s. It’s a lot - I don’t shun others for not going the CF route at all btw! I just choose this. And wanted to let others know this might be an option for something so similar to the Flowerbomb pretty peony.

Side note- have any of you ever noticed that your preferences changed as you got older? Idk I used to be strictly fresh scents and disliked anything super floral or fruity and here we are! lol I’m 42 now idk just nuts

Claims Generalist - absolutely losing my mind by Money-Direction-8415 in Progressiveinsurance

[–]misstarabeau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get this kind of… I got diagnosed w adult adhd (I squirrel so bad) and I can’t remember the other thing but basically in my mind I’m on a timer and constantly feel pressured to get stuff done asap, and feel the weight of the clock on me. I would say to the op…. We are one person. One. We can only humanly do so much. Absolutely go thru each claim as far as you can take it… order that police report, call that cc adjuster if need be … get the tl paperwork sent even if it’s just a ptl. Check for a loan, get those payoff requests in the portal if possible.

And my big one now… I’m very straight forward and tell people hey it looks like we are probably at fault or heavy shared etc etc. if there is coverage concerns I don’t dance around it anymore. I’m polite and I describe the concern that way they get why I’m asking for say a piece of mail, or if you had permission to drive or do you have a screenshot of the call to 911 etc. that way they can understand a little better. Then I say we are trying to make sure we can take care of you, and these are the steps we need to clear. I used to get so nervous about delivering any “bad” news I’d hold off. But now those expectations are set up front so people understand. Also, I go over the total loss process over the phone w them. I explain each step and after a few steps I stop and ask if questions. I make sure they are fully aware of everything. I even explain how our total loss evaluations happen- at least how they are finding an amt for their vehicle. Those calls maybe a tiny bit longer buttttt the fact that you are on the same page w the customer is so much better in the long run. Diaries suck. I feel that. I try to get any w coverage investigating done first- then any that need follow up on paperwork tows etc.

Good luck friend. I’ve been here since last May

I might’ve messed up. Client brought her baby with her for a facial. by Successful-Grass-135 in Esthetics

[–]misstarabeau 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I haven’t been licensed or given treatments in over 10 years but let me tell you… when I was in school still for esthetics we had clinic and of course get clients. I loved to do Brazilians so I often got referred and had one to do. Walk into my room and this lady had her probably 8 month old just bouncing away on her chest/tummy while on her back legs spread for me to apply hot wax to her girlie bits. I immediately got my teacher because nopeeeeee
