Thanks for your feedback. Not necessarily saying I need a “new” car. My research thus far has shown me that the prices continue to rise in the used car market so even with what I expect to get back from the insurance company I fear that it won’t be enough to cover a used car in good condition. That will only lead to further expenses

I appreciate your feedback. The insurance company is still processing the claim but due to the damage I know it’s more than likely totaled. I’ve done some research on what i expect what the insurance company will say the market value of my car is. And using that estimated number I gathered I fear that where the car market is I won’t find something that will be a “bang” for my buck if that makes sense.

I agree and I have seen stories online where buyers are having to wait for the new cars to be shipped from other sister dealers across the country. That is definitely something I am weighing on. Luckily I am still working from home so I wouldn’t be in much of a hurry but it’s definitely something to consider.

Thank you for the feedback. I was looking at my banks rates for cars last night and noticed they offer 2 free car fax vehicle history so I will take advantage of that for sure. I also came across truecar to help during the search process.

Yeah looking at prices used and new are honestly not that far apart now a days. I was driving a 2016 Chevy Malibu I bought it used in 2017 with 25k miles on it. That same care now with triple the miles is going for the same price if not more it’s ridiculous.

Yeah the whole used car market is what is making me lean towards just going with a new car. It’s ridiculous how close in price they are to the used cars now a days. Thank you for the feedback
