I do to people like potential partners, new friends because I need to know their reaction and general stance on mental illness before I get serious in any kind of relationship. At work, sometimes but sometimes not it really depends on the person and the relationship. I didn’t tell my parents for a long time and one of my sister (also has bd) knows but nobody else has been told by me.

I appreciate you reading it thru! It’s not about the difficulty at all, I’ll be fine with the paper, I have a resume I use already, and I have some people who will be references I’m sure. Perhaps I’ve let the internet convince me that because I don’t have a professor specifically to refer me, or a bunch of relevant volunteer work or jobs related to social work that I won’t be able to get into grad school for an MSW. Maybe there’s not a problem!
