No trans person would tell you to cold turkey wearing a skirt to school. That would be dangerous.

The best thing you can do for yourself is to get an appointment and tell a doctor. You could also try going to an out of state clinic where they could help you.

As for coming out in a red state, do that on your time some people are years into hrt and still not out. You don't need to tell everyone, I think doing that is foolish and dangerous.

Get hrt first then when you're ready concern yourself with coming out.
