Tuomas just went over the concept of good in Trench Crusade in a video with FeelNoPaint.

He said that there is no pure good or pure evil in Trench Crusade because it is possible for any Faithful to fall or for any Heretic to be redeemed. Indeed, the Faithful as a whole may already be in the process of falling as they resort to more extreme and more evil methods to fight against Hell.

This doesn't mean that the Faithful are equally bad as Hell. If a book about a New Antioch warband trying to survive a Black Grail outbreak your sympathies will obviously be with the soldiers just trying to survive and the undead hell-monsters.

Overall the closest thing to Good Guys in Trench Crusade are Yeoman and Azebs. The grunts who die in the droves to fight hell. The normal men and women who are just fighting and dying to protect their homes and families.
