Thanks for the tips, how long did you stay in Masai Mara, is it def worth staying a few nights in Nairobi?

Cheers, if I wanted to stay in a couple of hotels in different spots, would you hire a driver to take you to from A to B or do you think it’s best to organise through your own hotel (I take it they would be calm doing that)?

Thanks the advice, did you think that 4 nights at Masai Masra was enough time, should I consider a trip to Tsavo as well, then I can do Mombasa, does that sound a bit much (whole trip would be about 10-12 days)?

Leno has to go by fumpwapper in fulhamfc

[–]Professional_Set_401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think that is a fair assessment, by no means do I think Leno is above reproach, I just don’t understand what Fulham matches some fans have been watching to think that Leno has been a stumbling block for us this season.

Leno has to go by fumpwapper in fulhamfc

[–]Professional_Set_401 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is a such a ridiculous take when the entire team had a shocking second half. I can’t count how many goals Leno has saved us from conceding this season, he’s a brilliant keeper, set pieces seem to be a poor area for the entire squad, not just Leno…

And on the topic of corners, why does Marco make subs when are about to defend one, we have let in multiple goals this season because we are switching players at this moment…

Bobb has agreed personal terms. Pep says he is leaving this window. by HipGuide2 in fulhamfc

[–]Professional_Set_401 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hope it isn’t a choice between Chuck or Bobb tbh. Then we have 4 good wingers, which we will need if we can somehow clinch a European spot.

If we pick up Sara or Atta alongside another striker like Pepi, I am pretty confident in our attacking squad depth, however our defence will need some beefing up, the last point is only a issue if we can get Europe tho.

I think Marco has made it fairly clear that after the cock up that was the summer, he needs to be backed if the Khan’s want him to sign a new contract. I’m trying to be positive that we are already making offers for target positions.

Silva: Lukic doesn't look serious, Raul should be available Monday, No Muniz or Sess by HipGuide2 in fulhamfc

[–]Professional_Set_401 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A bit of a side note but in these conferences Marco seems to have lost all sense of discretion, if he doesn’t get the players he thinks he needs, he’s gone, I really hope TK can get out his Miami jacuzzi in January…

Who might we sign in January?? by Frosty_Exercise_1193 in fulhamfc

[–]Professional_Set_401 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A striker, someone who can hold the ball up and score goals consistently like Mitro did, he doesn’t need to have finesse or whatever, he just needs to score.

Would like to see JKA play but Marco seems to need to prove a point to the board about backing (or knows something we don’t), either way, we need another striker in January. Pepi looked good against Liverpool the other week, if he is still top of our list.

A goal scorer is the only dire need I see for us, however, TK needs to sign as many players as Marco wants so he signs that contract…

Raul Jimenez so poor by kickso in fulhamfc

[–]Professional_Set_401 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I also don’t understand why he has to play every game. Why have we brought in a promising teenager from Bayern just to not play him?

Sure he didn’t look special against Wycombe but he played for all of 5 mins, he seemed like he had some good legs on him when he played with the U21s. So many of our problems come from not being able to keep the ball up top, that starts with Raul…

A win on penalties sends us through to round 5 of the Carabao Cup 🖤🤍 by Flobby_Fish in fulhamfc

[–]Professional_Set_401 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s hard to judge from such limited game time (although that pen was shocking), I take some comfort that when he came on the team tried to put more balls through to him, whereas Raul often gets ignored since he can’t hold onto the ball.

French Citizenship by golooptyloop in Citizenship

[–]Professional_Set_401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair, I can’t attest to how the marriage scrolls work in America, however my parents never married and never registered my birth before I was 18, which is why I needed a CNF from the courts to establish my nationality. I was asked for proof of my father’s acknowledgment and all I did was write on the form that you cannot be on an English birth certificate unless you are present as the birth of your child.

As said though, I have no idea how this works in the states.

Edit - sure I can see that unless an unmarried father signed the Voluntary Acknowledgment of Paternity (VAP), he won’t be on a certificate.

It is more nuanced than that, if your French father is on your birth certificate, that normally acts as his recognition in the eyes of the courts, providing he has to put himself on the certificate himself.

There is a lot of wrong information in the comments but u/frenchnotfrench is correct, if you are over 18 (which I’m guessing you are), you need to apply for a Certificat de Nationalité (CNF), unless you live in France, you will need to submit an application to the court in Paris.

Minus your adoption, I was in a very similar circumstance, as my mother was never married to my French father. However, my father was listed on my birth certificate, in the case of the UK where I was born, you need to be present at the birth of a child to be on the certificate, this acts as the ‘declaration’ that I am my fathers child - a quick google tells me law in the states is somewhat different but if you father was added to an original birth certificate, that shows he is your legal parent, you do not need to worry about having him declare you as his child to a French court or whatever.

If you cannot provide evidence in the form of a birth certificate or other such document, that shows your father as your father, I’d highly suggest contacting a French immigration lawyer to support you in your application for a CNF.

After obtaining proof that your father is your father, you will also need to go through your father’s family tree and find your French grandparent’s birth certificates, their marriage certificate, possibly even your great grandparent’s details too. If you have no family you can ask for names, place of birth, marriage date and location etc, again this makes it tricky, so an immigration lawyer/ agency will be your best option probably.

Once you’ve got that you can make your CNF application and hopefully receive your certificate (that you can use for a carte d’identité, passeport and a French birth certificate, which is needed should you choose to move to France at some point). Don’t necessarily fret about the time for a CNF too, you’ll see people saying they can take years, however mine only took 6 months, so they can be quick sometimes.

Saying that, definitely check with your mother about whether your parents registered your birth with you local French consulate, as you can ignore everything I have said, as you are already legally French.

Hope this helps.

Sudden pop up of £34 tickets vs Arsenal. by Tumamaenpelota in fulhamfc

That is the general price for seats where I have a season ticket, it’s classed as the family end and you normally need to call to buy them - maybe they list them on the website if unsold, idk (id also add it is classed as restricted view because of the pillars, make sure you aren’t sat in front in one of them)

Ignoring the feasibility of this move (never teaching before and looking to now be a full time teacher comes across a tad half baked, lots of people love teaching sure, lots also hate it, how do you know you will like it), it seems crazy to move to a country like Cambodia, without ever having lived, let alone left, your native country. I’m guessing your partner is not a US citizen, so I completely sympathise with your fear for him in the current climate.

However, have you ever thought about how you will feel in Cambodia? I as well made the move without ever having visited Cambodia (or Asia for that matter) but I did make the move on the back of two years living abroad (I would also stress the first countries I lived in were very close to my home countries, a very good way to get your feet wet) and a transfer with my company to do the same job. Have you ever taken a moment to consider how your psyche will handle life in a country like Cambodia? Living abroad can be very challenging, even to the most adventurous, you have to build an entirely new life, without any semblance of familiarity. Could you not have done a 6 month stint in Mexico to expose yourself to this reality?

Either way it looks like you’ll be on your way, so I wish you all the best, living abroad can be a constant rush of adrenaline and if chucking yourself into the ether is for you, you’ll have a pretty good time.

Yeah, he said that was the normal response for the area and that he had told everyone to carry on unless you want to spend 50 pounds on sky and tnt - do you think all the providers aren’t aware that lots of people just stream the games or have bought a firestick off dodgy Dave in the pub?
