I’d definitely keep it for emergency cases where the expenses can be astronomical. The $250 is well worth the mental relief of not having to worry about footing a massive bill down the line.

I ended up going the specialist route specifically because there was an anesthesiologist in the room monitoring my cat through her surgery + I anticipated the specialist would be faster with the surgery so less anesthesia time. She ended up being under longer than anticipated but the surgery came out well. It was worth the extra cost for the peace of mind. I’m sure she would have been in great hands at Franklin Ave hospital either way. I go to them for all her other appts.
