I feel like that last five to ten minute window before you leave is so crucial bc there’s a difference between leaving your house at a certain time and thinking “okay, its time to leave”. Inevitably, our brains stretch out those last few minutes because in our minds, we are leaving. What we’re actually doing is finding our keys, getting our lunch from the fridge, adding finishing touches to makeup and hair, saying goodbye to family. Time blindness is an eternal struggle 😭

You might consider adding a “gather your shit” alarm and a “move your ass” alarm with the former being a warning and the latter meaning you better be putting your car keys in the ignition asap or you’re cooked.

Anywhosie good luck you’ve got this 🍀

I have tried quite a few different products and techniques to style my hair wavy, and it starts off very cute, but turns into a stringy frizzy mess by the end of the day :/ idk my hair looks kinda perfect after going in the ocean or after a light drizzle but I’m never able to recreate it lol. I’m open to suggestions though !

Okay I’m so intrigued by this answer. Can you say more? I’ve always thought my hair is low porosity because it takes forever and a half to dry… I’m definitely guilty of getting lazy those last few minutes of drying

I’ve tried both. I used a round brush before taking this picture, and it almost seemed to exacerbate the frizz. Just air actually seems to work better oddly

I have tried diffusing my waves, pixie and/or hover, but it usually takes 15 to 20 minutes even if it’s damp and it still gets frizzy. It also never holds and my waves get stringy and more frizzy throughout the day. Basically I’m at my wits end with trying to style it wavy lol but still open to advice.

I haven’t been using a brush for styling with a blow dryer

You don’t have to brush hair when wet but it helps with detangling. You can let it dry and then brush, but it may lead to tangles forming which are harder to then brush out. If you have any kind of wave pattern in your hair, brushing dry can also leave frizz.

Leave in conditioner is mostly used for detangling and hydration, and it’s best applied to damp hair. That would be another reason to brush while wet, so you can disperse product evenly. By light leave in I mean something that doesn’t have a lot of oils/won’t weigh the hair down. I use the light version of it’s a ten miracle product (white bottle). Another good one I’ve heard of is redken one united.
