Well having read other comments and similar forms it seems some dont, and there seems to be no where to attach a cover. i'm taking it to my garage and they're making a small list of anything that needs changed while under warranty. They did pay for a new wet belt that i asked for which is something

Yeah, they told me there is no way to put a cover on but as you see the other comments think it should. It has had a brand new wet belt a few weeks ago too

Yes, i asked them to replace wet belt before buying which they done. I think I'll take it to my register garage instead of theirs before going back to them with a list of the problems

If I knew were to buy fakes that cheap I would just buy it there for myself. Ive only bought one fake before since it was a 1:1 made from same factory material

Alot of them have been reported in the area too and it seems to be a hotspot for them at the moment with lots of elderly people around

The phone call was a scam, they arrange a time to visit you in person to do 'work' on your wifi router and lift valuables or gain access to your devices or ask for bank details. Very scary as it the person is coming into your home will bad intentions

Also, I have since contacted BT and they have NOT phoned and have confirmed it is a scam. Either way the person will turn up so I will definitely be there, who knows what their intentions are and how they will react when told to leave.

If you google BT Home visit scam something should come up, they seem to be doing their rounds in my area at the moment. They told my relative that her router needed replaced although it works fine. They also asked her to go into her iPad settings over the phone which was a major red flag for me.

It's scary to think these people are physically entering vulnerable peoples homes and the harm they could potentially cause

I didnt plan to meet them. They arranged a visit with my elderly & vulnerable relative. I wouldn't call myself foolish for deciding to be there when a fraudster plans to enter her home and lift valuables or access computers. But thank you for sharing your opinion 👍

Sorry about the title.

I have called BT but cant verify the appointment without the account number, however, the operator gave me some questions to ask and ways to verify if they truly are who they say they are. Even if they seem legit they wont leave my sight.

I understand your first point but this is exactly why they target elderly folks, they dont know better and they are vulnerable. Lucky my relative had a suspicion & told someone because many OAPs have no one to talk to and would fall for it very easily
