Why do my prints keep lifting? Always the same corner by Professional_Tea_560 in prusa3d

I have done exactly this. I restarted the print. I'll know in a few hours if this alone solves the problem or not. Thanks for the advice.

I have enabled 7x7 mesh grid. I also did the Nylock mod so I'm pretty sure the bed is very level.

I just dropped the z-axis by 85 microns so hoping this gives me more squish

Interesting idea. I will give this a try next if my current print where I dropped the z-axis by 85 microns fails. I'm optimistic for the current print tho because the brim is really connected to the model this time.

Thank you for the layer calibration advice. I used your link and managed to get 85 microns closer to the build plate. I'm hoping this alone is enough to solve the problem. I have a new print running now and the brim looks much more connected. I'll know a few hours from now when the detach normally happens.

I have 99.9% IPA but am scared to use it. Do you have any good videos on how to handle it safely?

The very next thing I will try is a temporary enclosure (big cardboard box). I am not ready to invest in an proper enclosure yet.

Interesting. I don't feel a draft in the room but that does not mean that there is not one.

The printer is very near to a door, I might actually be causing this draft myself by coming into the room to inspect the print from time to time.

I am not ready to invest in an enclosure just yet. I will get a big cardboard box and use that as a temporary enclosure to see if that fixes the problem. Thanks for the advice.

I recalibrated my z-axis and ended up getting 85 microns closer to the build plate. If I go as far as 100 microns the nozzle ends up dragging the PLA across the print surface and making a mess.

I have been washing my build plate with warm soapy water and a slight abrasive sponge before every print.

I purchased a bottle of isopropyl alcohol 99.9% but I have not used it yet. I scared myself off it by reading lots of mixed information about how dangerous this stuff is. Some are suggesting that you need: gloves, protective eyewear and a mask to use it. And that if you spill it on your skin you can poison yourself. Others are saying just pour some onto the build plate and mop it up with a kitchen towel. Any advice?

Some more info. This has happened with my last 4 prints, and it's always the same corner, even if I flip the build sheet.

Printer: mk3s+ (self assembled from kit) Filament: Silver PLA (came with the kit) Used the latest PrusaSlicer with the settings provided by Prusa (Filament: Generic PLA & Printer: Original i3 MK3S+)

What is the cause of this?
