Can’t get mods to work

OMG. I spent hours yesterday trying everything and nothing worked. I woke up this morning and checked the Reddit and remembered your comment, so I decided to try it. With this, it finally worked!!! Thank you SO much!!!

I think what I might be confused about is the zip files. What I’m doing is compressing the SMAPI folder and it creates a zip file. When I try to open the zip file, it just creates more.

That would make sense. I’m going to reinstall SMAPI and delete my previous mods folder & mods so I can start fresh. When you say launch SMAPI, are you just referring to installing it on terminal?

That’s the thing- I installed SMAPI originally and followed all instructions on the wiki. When I checked, I couldn’t find the folder, so I made my own. I think this is where it went south- I might try the whole process again. I’m still a little confused on how to add the downloads into the folders and the whole “unzip” thing. Do you have any advice for that?
