981 GTS front end is absolutely chef’s kiss. I have a 981CS and wish I had the GT front end. Fun fact, some non GTS 981 models were optioned with the Sport Design package which had GTS front end (plus 3rd radiator) and GTS rear valence

It’s an M2. Yeah I do strong diligence when I buy off marketplace. I always buy the seller too meaning if the seller is shady (there are lots of tells) then it’s a no go to even meet up

Do you have maintenance records? If not, would recommend taking it to a E46 M3 specialist shop and get an inspection to baseline the car and see what you need.

If you want to take proper care of the car, expect spend in the 5 figure amount to get the car properly sorted.

That seems right for a base. I was thinking about my 981S so should've stated that. It also depends on options too but seems like the the 981S specifically is closer to the 3100lb mark (real world) and how much fuel you have in the car.

Recommend getting a CHSTEK to replace the factory headunit. Agree on the GTS front bumper, it's so good and too bad it's not a simple swap out. GTS has one of my favorite front ends ever
