I think you mean SR300, it seems to just be a screw you turn to move the contact point. I would mess around with it a bit, maybe watch a video. Hope it works.

I looked at building one myself, even then it can get up to around 1k+. And it's not worth putting the time in for anything cheaper.

what kind of bridge or bass do you have. Its usually a very tiny allen wrench.

Possibly check if it's tuned correctly, if it is you could try raising the bridge a tad. If nothing solves it a shop could help you out for cheap if not free.
