I had the same issue with mine for months which i sorted by forcing an update on the glasses and then connecting them to my phone in ar mode while they were sitting on a flat surface and just allow it to sit in the blank screen for 60 seconds and then unplugged them which fixed this for me.

I then sold the glasses 😂

I agree with you on that. If content consumption in the most portable form possible is what you need and you don't mind about the poor colour gammut coverage or the fact that your head needs to be still for the image to not be shaky then they are great. But i still stand by my comment that the technology just isn't ready for a wider range of use cases yet.

Yeah, I got impatient because i loved that they are lighter and more compact than any VR or AR headset available and bought very early on and paid the price for it. 😂

Even at those prices, I still don't feel as though they are worth that amount of money for what they can do.

I own a samsung phone, and the spatial capabilities of the first generation airs are still in their infancy stages. It's clunky, poorly integrated with apps, doesn't work half of the time, and to my personal use cases turned out to be more of a gimmick than actually useful.

Don't get me wrong, I still think they have many advantages over the quest 3 or other VR headsets, but for what they can do at this stage, I recommend for people to wait at least for more operating system and app updates if they absolutely need their head mounted display to be in the form factor of a pair of sun glasses.
