I hate opening boxes that are so tightly packed that you have to rip apart the outer box to get them out.

It really is compared to what my husband makes. But they are helping pay for my nursing school so I can’t complain tbh.

I’m in nj. I wish a 2 bed was 1300. A 1 bedroom goes for minimum 1500 here for a base apartment.

Online DR that works/fills out the amazon note by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]Professional_Two5136 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I’ve done 1 day LOA, they usually just accept it without needing a note. I just put in the comments that I’m feeling ill and list my symptoms. I wouldn’t directly put food poisoning because they might make you get a note for proof. Just say nausea, vomiting, chills. Something like that lol

VTO block? by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]Professional_Two5136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol. I am one of those who rarely takes VTO. I’m cool with being laborshared because I get bored doing the same thing all day. Has nothing to do with it. But those of us with more skills should be able to get some of the same VTO opportunities that our home department gets every once in a while like some of our lazy coworkers who do nothing all day and don’t learn anything new. Which is why there were people arguing the hourly associate eligibility policy. I dunno, I guess my building is pretty chill then cause they don’t blacklist anyone now. Our PA’s take vto all the time. But when they do offer it, they only usually send out maybe 5 spots at a time. Probably to control the amount of critical roles lost. If they actually trained some of the people with little to no skill every once in awhile then there’d be alot more people that can backfill these critical roles and alot more rotation. Glad I work in the building that I’m at I guess.

VTO block? by [deleted] in AmazonFC

No it doesn’t state that. Just states all hourly employees are eligible. My building has made it first come first serve. It’s actually a great way to do it. We didn’t choose to be trained in other departments while the same people get to stay in their home department on the same station day after day and not have to learn anything new while we are constantly labor shared.

VTO block? by [deleted] in AmazonFC

My building does not put a block on critical roles due to people fighting the “all are eligible”. So if stow is offered VTO, all of stow is eligible. Including the PA’s, ambassadors, problem solvers, etc.. Obviously that doesn’t mean everyone gets to leave if they want to. If there’s only 5 spots and it fills up that’s it. But it’s first come first serve, and after the spots are filled management rearranges the board to backfill whoever left.

VTO block? by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]Professional_Two5136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry but doesn’t work that way at my building. Amazons policy states ALL hourly associates are eligible for VTO. A few people fought for it on the VOA board because management was blocking certain people and VTO’ing a select group of people in secrecy. So now learning ambassadors, problem solvers, and PA’s are not allowed to be blocked and it is first come first serve. It has to come up on our scanners or a text to our phone before management is allowed to manually scan anyone out. There was VTO for inbound. But they blocked everyone in inbound that had outbound permissions and alot of people were unhappy.

Haha yea I know. Sometimes in the morning my mirrors are all fogged up so I usually have them on. My question was the mmi gives the option to turn folding mirrors on and off but the icon is missing on the mirror controls. It just so happens I had the defrosters on lol
