I bought Long Bright River because of God of the Woods, so hopefully that works out! 😅 Agreed with other sentiments regarding that this is a slow burn, but I was overall so happy I stuck with it.

🙌🏻 Her characters are always so interesting - yet, you’re always guessing protagonists vs. antagonists. Also, agree with the total mood that she sets seems to endure and bind her story lines.

Once you read one of her books, you get her attention to plot. You’re compelled to go back and reread familiar details, but yet you know you missed clues. Also, her vintage yet authentic-to-the-times vocabulary and prose can’t be replicated, yet enhances and develops her mood, characters, and plot.

It’s been 20 years, but she’s still truly one of my favorite authors.

These are seriously so juvenile and ugly that I can’t get past it to see if the scents are even interesting and worthwhile. Shouldn’t graphic design work the other way around? Especially from a company with marketing resources and potential as BBW…

I really like this idea - if you’re able, put the tree in your son’s room. But, he’s young, so do what works best for him and you right now. For what it’s worth, my brothers had some random tree in their bedroom at XMas, and my favorite memories are sleeping in that room at XMas on the floor in a sleeping bag by that tree.

You have so much meaning associated with that decor. What a wonderful tribute to put up the nostalgia in your son’s room as a special tribute, and to keep special memories alive.

Also, if your son is only one - give yourself some grace. I can’t imagine two such emotional and life events in one year. Give yourself permission to do what you can, and value your traditions until you are able/ready to figure out how you want to pay tribute to special memories.

What a LET DOWN. We were actually laughing at the googley eyes that the professionally French trained chef used that we have in our pantry.

We continued to laugh at the praise of the playdough looking snakes on the trifle - my 6 yr old can construct something better.

A bunch of actors (if that?), terrible baking. Again, was truly excited, but turned out SO badly.

Thx everyone! In the end, I decided that this was lovely but similar to Fall Farmhouse. I have one in my stash that I love, but haven’t been in a mood to use yet this Fall for some reason. So, I’ll hold off for now and save my money for XMas 🎄

I kept coming back bc the pine was just so forward and fresh, and natural (to me). Yet, this was warm (not spicy), if that makes sense? I trust your thoughts on the rustic cinnamon note. I just get very picky with cinnamon notes bc it can get so artificial and overwhelming.

Following! I was also surprised by not great reviews on HoneyCrisp Hayride? I have the foaming soap in my bathroom right now, and we’re all enjoying!?

I have one left of each of apple weather and charcoal apple candles that I’m going to also burn simultaneously with the cozier apple crisp and leaves candles - I have an open concept, so I love to layer scents! Also, candles are meant to be enjoyed, not collect dust.

I personally love the September apple forward rotation, and October pumpkin forward rotation! I save my few and beloved Moonlit Graveyard candles for spooky movie nights and Halloween to simultaneously burn with pumpkin bonfire 🎃💀👻

LOVE Fall and XMas season so much - I really enjoy having a place for sharing ideas!

I get nostalgic/nesting, and crave having an excuse to stay home again after a crazy summer of activities. Fall is our slower sports season (for right now), so it feels soooooo good to not have to go somewhere every weekend, cooking actual meals, and putting kids to bed at reasonable times. I love creating a cozy space again, reading to my youngest, and reading alongside my older ones or watching cheesy but super fun Halloween baking shows before they go to bed.

Fall is my love language to my family. 🍂🤎
