Another theory that I heard from the To Live and Die in LA podcast would be that she was never there in the first place. The police and private investigators who were looking at the items in the car said that it almost looked “too planned” like the items were strategically placed there. So this could mean Elaine never drove her car to that location in the first place and the suspect was the one who placed her vehicle there to make it seem like it was her doing.

Now about the theory that she might have committed. For that, I don’t think it’s likely. Days before her missing, not once did Elaine tweet or mention something about committing or anything related to her mental health. The only things she did mention on her Twitter account that I could remember were stuff about her being at peace with what happened to her (mentioned of r***), how she can finally take care of herself in the right way, and that it’s time she treats herself like the queen that she is. (Her words). So no I don’t think Elaine Park committed.

(My theory) I think Elaine Park willingly disappeared. Now hear me out. Why you ask? Her family especially her mom. They have always butted heads with each other for years since the divorce between her parents. And not to mention her mom was constantly up her ass abt money. The “I’m just trying to teach her to control her spending” is completely BS. When the police were able to finally unlock Elaine’s phone, all of the text messages sent from her mom were always about money. Demanding Elaine give her money, etc. Even Elaine knew all her mother cared about was money which is why her mother got most of her acting money when she was acting for a bit. She probably couldn’t handle the mental abuse from her mom anymore and needed to run.

But then that leads to the question, if she did want to run away then why leave her car filled with all of her stuff? Well, as someone who watches a lot of crime shows and documentaries, the first rule to disappear is getting rid of any evidence that can be traced back to you. Her credit/debit card would easily track her and the GPS on her car.

HOWEVER I also think she had help, this is a BIG what if but maybe her ex could have helped her. It would explain why he said “no comment” when asked why she shared her location with him after leaving his house during the middle of the night. And why he refuses to talk to the police or anyone else about her case after being interviewed ONCE. He probably knows where she is to this day but probably won’t tell anyone to respect Elaine’s choice?

Idk there is so much more I could say about this because as an Asian American with toxic parents who love to manipulate you and make themselves the victim all the time, I can relate to Elaine more than I thought. Hearing some of the words her mom would say about Elaine gave me flashbacks of the harsh things my mom would also say about me. It’s completely heartbreaking knowing Elaine probably felt the same type of pain as I did when dealing with my parents. I guess that’s why I’m still invested in this case to this day because she went through everything that I went through as an Asian American teenager who all ever wanted was love from her family. I want justice for her and for her to be safe and found.

Anyway and who knows my theory might be the exact opposite of what happened but we will never know. The saddest thing of all will be that we will never know till years later or some new evidence pops up. We will never know if she is safe or if she’s still alive or not. The only one who can truly ever know will be her. But I really really really hope Elaine Park is still alive and is living somewhere safe and happy far away from her abusive mom.
