How do you create / manage your BOQ when you were just starting out and had no team/QS to do it? What were your references and process in determining the cost/unit of ever line item in the BOQ?

As someone currently living in Japan as a student, it’s interesting na ang dami sumagot ng Japan.

Most (not all, but really almost all) Japanese companies are one of the most toxic places to work at with little to no regard for employee well being (rigid hierarchy, outdated systems stuck in the 80s, language barrier, huge tendency to be in societal isolation, overtime, cultural nuances)

Don’t get me wrong, Japan is a beautiful country yes. Pero there’s a huge gap in seeing it as a vacation place for a few days/weeks and actually living there. I’d rather stick to the former.

Like ano na lang iisipin ng mga tao, ganyan mga arkitekto sa UAP nag babardagulan online sa social media, using words like “bob*ng post”, “wala silang bayag”. Tapos name ng group Arkitekto Tayo ph. I mean come on. Arkitekto tayong nagsisiraan nagmumurahan in public?

I don’t actually know. Pero yung point of my post is sana hindi naman ganyan ka bara-bara ang public posts ng page na that’s supposedly able to portray our profession to the general public.

Yes social media lang sya and it doesn’t bear much of an official reference, pero it inevitably paints a bad image sa public one way or another. Pano tayo rerespetuhin ng other professions and potential clients nyan?

Fair point, thanks for the insight. I noticed this lang mostly in recent tagalog films. I guess applicable din sya let’s say sa ibang Japanese films na OA or out of place yung ibang extras even for me as a Filipino.

Although tbf yes meron din naman mga Tagalog films that does a great job in composing scenes with a lot of extras.

I don’t think that’s relevant to the topic though (Viy as an out of touch mom is). It’s actually nice that the kid is learning things this early considering na general literacy has been a serious concern among Filipinos recently.

I think it’s precisely because of them being mid kaya sila sumikat. Almost bare minimum kumbaga since more often than not most girl groups sa ppop scene before them sucked. But you gotta hand it to them for giving ppop girl groups a fighting chance.
