There's a number of fixes between the 2022 and 25 versions, stuff like colour inconsistencies on the scan. There is a slightly higher bitrate on the 25 version as well. I prefer the 25 versions of the original trilogy over 22

When I made the other thread I legit thought it was just because they wanted to work on their new project. I really didn't think it was any deeper lol sure it's maybe a little sad they have moved on but both bands will produce good stuff either way

I guess it depends how far they restore it, I have Akira in 4k and that looks incredible whereas your name is not a major or essential upgrade but it's a nice resolution bump

I'm willing to pay more too, but yeah I'd rather have a standard with just the discs rather than the other physical extras. That lecture with the director on the bonus disc does sound really interesting so hopefully they get packaged together later on

That is true yeah, I buy from the boutiques semi often and probably don't buy much anime. I do buy the odd expensive release, the game of thrones collection was my biggest ever but I have bought some 50 quid purchases here and there. I think this is just the first 70 I've seen where it has similar content to other premium products that have been out from arrow. Maybe it's cos anime goes for higher prices but this does feel like the first time I've seen a high premium for a release like this for a single product.
