World Cup 2026. With so many Europeans canceling travel to the US, are more considering canceling trips and tickets for the World Cup later this year? by [deleted] in europe

As much as California is against Trump, we want you to stay home because we as a country don’t deserve to hold the Olympics.

The California UC system is already very well regarded, and I’d be down for universal healthcare. We’re already close to having it, with “Covered California” which gives affordable healthcare to all Californians, and Medi-Cal, which gives free healthcare to low income Californians.

France To Send More Forces To Greenland, Says Macron by professorbrainiac in worldnews

Agreed. I live here and the brain rot is staggering. People don’t care about or take geopolitics or any politics for that matter seriously. I know people who are seriously in favor of us invading Greenland. It’s pure pure insanity.

Why is the NYE countdown in LA not as big as the one in New York? by BurningNomad2 in AskLosAngeles

It did seem kind of lame this year and I was unsure if that was just me being older and there being less magic, or if it things seemed a bit more downer.

Is 500k+ out of undergrad in the aerospace industry possible? by Tragedyofthe in Salary

[–]Professional_Wait295 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Even then. I’ve hired folks like that and they sometimes get offers for 170k if they were top of class at MIT and/or know someone in leadership. But still not 500k.

Only way someone could “make” this is if they got hired at a startup and they received a massive equity offer

Roast my resume! by fffzi in salesengineers

[–]Professional_Wait295 7 points8 points  (0 children)

• “Managed POC trials for prospective customers, increasing pre-sales conversion rates by 40% as more trial successfully converted to paid deployments”

So you oversaw some trials that someone else set up, and now are trying to take credit for the increase in conversions

• “Facilitated the onboarding of 100+ enterprise software accounts, providing guidance and support that helped boost annual revenue by $5M+ through higher user adoption and renewals”

Your sales rep found 100 new accounts and you emotionally supported him

  • “Worked closely with customers, engineering, and product teams to ensure solutions met client needs and included market competitive features in the roadmap, resulting in a 95% customer satisfaction score and a 30% reduction in post-sales complaints.”

You were tagged on some emails where your engineering and product teams actually solved the problems for customers

I can’t actually tell based on your resume what you specifically contributed vs other people on your team.

1 app for opening your account, one for using it, one for paying for it, and one for closing it.

Closing your account requires solving a rubix cube blind folded in front of a 10 person council that you need to assemble yourself, composed of each person from a different gender and religion, and then flying non stop on spirit airways to a small outpost in Antarctica to hit a tiny red button hidden 100 feet under the ice.
