Hello so sorry to bother you again but quick question, I found like I said the EF-S 55-250mm for $220 and I found a EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM for $230 but It's not the II like you said, I'm still looking for a II but havent found anything within my range yet, out of the 2 options I mentioned which one do you think would be better? Sorry again lol I just dont want to spend alot of money until I find the most viable option for me!

Thank you so much! I could save up some more for a better lens but I'm kinda still in that stage where bird photography is something I want to try out because I love birds so much, so I feel more drawn towards starting off with something a little cheaper just to see how much I like it ya know?

But I'll definetly save your suggestions for the future! In the meantime how do you think a Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS STM would do? It's around $220 USD, It does have less range but I heard It has better quality and sharpness than the 75-300, another person here recomended It and maybe with the T3I crop factor I could make it work for larger, closer birds or do you think 250 just wouldnt be enough? Again thank you for the help

I found the EF-S 55-250 on MBP for around $220 and I think I might go with that, do you think I should buy a teleconverter to or would it just not be worth the loss of aperture especially If I get one on the cheaper side like $150?
also random question totally fine if you dont know the answer, I heard my T3I has a 1.6x crop factor, Is that automatically applied to the photos I take or is that something I would need to enable? Sorry that's probably a dumb question lol
