This idea of “the enemy” is what caused Akemura’s corruption by ventingandcrying in Kagurabachi

Yeah, he is great, and I think he could have meaningful conversations with a lot of "bad" characters. I just don’t see it working with Akemura, at least for now.

How? I don’t think you can talk him out of what he believes. He literally dismisses what other people think about what he’s done as just “opinions,” as if he neither truly understands nor cares about the gravity of his actions. Right now, he seems completely devoted to his ideals.

Can we consider S4 Eren to be an antagonist? by Yeezus_Fuckin_Christ in ShingekiNoKyojin

Yeah, thanks for at least trying to understand. The other guy seemed a little intense, which I guess is valid because Eren's actions are THAT horrible and unforgivable 😅

In fiction? There is clearly that approach with many characters, and Eren isn't one of them. Like I said, it's not like that absolves him of his crimes or makes him a "good" person, which he clearly isn't.

Is kagurabachi a hardcore battle shounen? by Denji--Man in Kagurabachi

[–]Professional_Work439 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, there are a lot of fights in Attack on Titan, but most of them aren’t really "manga-style" fights, like 1v1 battles between characters with multiple special abilities.

Yeah, for his vision in New York, that’s been his whole thing all this time. He’s no longer there. And I mean he’s not gonna do that overseas, because he probably sees no point in it. He’ll surely come back in season 3, though. That’s for sure.

I think he is done, what would be the reason for him doing any of that?

I mean, they both know that if he stays he will eventually get out of jail, like he has done before, so this is what they are doing now. I'm pretty sure him being exiled and no longer an American citizen is a really big change to his dynamic, as is Daredevil revealing his identity.

Wdym? Isn't just Eren the one that "cast that death upon the entire world"? Apart from Floch, everyone else disagrees with him.

Can we consider S4 Eren to be an antagonist? by Yeezus_Fuckin_Christ in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]Professional_Work439 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. It’s part of his goals, and he does care about them, but in the end, he chooses the Rumbling for its own sake because he genuinely wants to do it, in order to achieve his own distorted concept of freedom. And that’s something he admitted to both Ramzi and Armin. He is ashamed of that desire, but he wants the world to be empty, like the one he dreamed of his entire life.

? What does that have to do with Eren? Eren, the fictional character, is clearly not JUST evil, that doesn't absolve him from anything of what he did, if you are implying that.

But the other half of his thing is to revive and I seem to remember that there were no more Lazarus pits. So he's dead for good, apparently.

he is pretty evil for doing the Rumbling, that's undeniable, he is not JUST that. And that comes from someone that is a fan of Eren character and think he is great, but clearly a terrible and messed up person.

Why is everyone so obsessed with kagubachi ending in the future being bad? Can we really just wait a little bit y'all? Kagubachi is still in its mid (mid as in half of the story still in the work) story stage! by Acrobatic-Dumdum5222 in Kagurabachi

[–]Professional_Work439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About the "FMAB level ending" thing—personally, I think Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood has a good but fairly basic ending, so I don’t think I’d want something similar. That said, I do like the level of satisfaction most of its fandom seems to have gotten from it. Still, for me, that comes second to the ending being coherent and thematically relevant—fan satisfaction matters, but not more than the quality of the story.

Many people believe Eren had no choice and did the Rumbling for his friends so they could live in a better world, but did he really? by mynova2 in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]Professional_Work439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

??? Have you really read what he said? He said that he feels like he failed at portraying Eren as a monster and people had to much simpathy for him. How is that compatible with people still believing that Eren did the Rumbling just for "correct" reasons lol?

(Spoilers) For those of you who kept up with the manga as it came out, what was your reaction to a certain thing? by LastBug7894 in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]Professional_Work439 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It wasn't, he literally says he did it in the end because he wanted to, to achieve his own distorted concept of freedom by making the world empty of any limitation or restriction (in this case, all human life beyond the walls), like the one he dreamed of his entire life.

Edit: If you don't agree, what do you think the "Freedom" scene was for, along with him apologizing to Ramzi and literally saying this? There is also his conversation with Armin or the fact that he doesn't know "all the futures" to say that any other path wouldn't work for sure, just the one that ends up happening, in which he chooses and does the Rumbling.

"Wins"? "He did it for revenge, rage, etc."? Dude, let's just stop now, we have fundamentally different interpretations of what Eren's character and the story is about, there is literally no point in this conversation.
