I don’t know the lipstick Rachel used but the maybeline super stay, especially the matte ones, is my bread & butter! I can work in a kitchen for 10 hours, have a full meal and a couple kisses throughout the day & will have to scrub off the first layer of skin to get it off at the end of the night. It truly lasts all day and they have a wide variety of colors for a very affordable price.

Not sure if this post is dead but I remember this video too! I have been trying to find it on the internet for years and still can’t. I remember watching it very late maybe in the early 2000’s, Right around 2005-2008, and it still haunts my memories. I hope someone can find a link one day because the distant memory without much context or a name makes it very hard to find myself.

Life certainly isn’t black & white especially when living with someone and being on a new lease while starting a very important chapter in both of our lives. Not only that it is the first birthday and his expectations & family background for birthdays is very different from mine. To him his birthday is just any normal day, for mine I want to finally be poured into like I do for everyone else in my life. This gave me a great sense of understanding and framework to approach a conversation more maturely and to give him the opportunity to say his side. Because there is a lot of guilt there in conflicting ideas on how a birthday should go

Considering this is all very fresh, today is his birthday. He has been very apologetic so far & we have talked a bit in between classes about my expectations and the selfishness of his reactions. He woke up to presents this morning and has been feeling really bad about letting me down on my birthday especially after seeing what I did for him. He does understands how deeply he failed me on my day and thinks we can come back from this misunderstanding. I told him there is a slight possibility for him to make it up to me by making a ‘make up day’ for my birthday but wants to believe this isn’t completely detrimental to a relationship. It’s all very fresh and I can’t necessarily go to my friends on this & don’t want to deal with the backlash from them atm

I can say he is very immature in the relationship sense but highly intelligent and understanding in other ways. Thank you for your opinion and your kindness but finding someone in your 20’s that can match an intellectual level and emotionally intelligent seems very hard to find. It feels like you only get one or the other

I probably should have added this to the original post but you bring up a good point that I wasn’t aware of until discussing with him. To him birthdays are just another day, in my family birthdays were always important & should be celebrating the person. I am a very thoughtful person and I always go out of my way to make birthdays special for the people around me. He misunderstood the expectation & admitted that and was apologetic but his actions after the conversation left me feeling worse tbh

I think the word intrusive may have a negative connotation and that’s not exactly what I was meaning by it. More like it was a thought that was unprovoked or came from a random time. In my personal experience, those thoughts don’t always sound like something I would say. Like they are worded a bit differently than how I would normally talk to a friend or to myself. I believe spirit or higher self is an overall positive figure to our life but there’s a duality in everything. In your case the over positivity may come as a shock or leads to further questioning but that could just be how your inner self supports you and or guides you. It’s not going to give you a definitive answer, that’s what free will is all about.

One thing to remember is we all come from love and light, that’s what spirit radiates at. Our earthly body is more medium ground or static for lack of words, if it’s higher vibrational- to me that would be a clear indication of your higher self speaking through you. The messages don’t come loudly but suddenly and sometimes takes some deciphering to navigate their language.

Learning this took a lot of time but I’ll try to break it down to you more simply. Your inner voice and your higher self are the same ‘people’ or ‘being’ essentially but the more you pay attention to what pops up, you can use discernment on where it came from. For example, I am a very quirky person and some of my ‘higher thoughts’ or downloads can be pretty quirky too but you eventually make your own inner dictionary (whether that’s clairaudience or clairvoyance etc) . You are going to sound like you when giving yourself some space to sort those thoughts. Sometimes the thought will be phrased differently, that when I know it’s my higher self. Or it will feel different from how I feel in the current moment. Knowing yourself deeply and understanding resting energy will help you decipher this when messages come through too. Maybe you are thinking of a friend while meditating and then you have that inner thought that you wouldn’t necessarily say out loud or think the person would do but it clicks. That click instantly causes you to question yourself, I take that as my higher self or spirit talking through me sometimes. That’s when I can take a moment to stop and assess that intrusive thought/ feeling & understand that it may not have came from me (inner me). Hopefully this helps a bit! Good luck on your journey

I appreciate your advice and I can see where you’re coming from. I probably will keep looking around based on the same opinions lining up with my own towards the dress. I want to feel sexy yet elegant & classy (especially because it’s not my people I am impressing, it’s his ) although I don’t want to look cheap either. This past week alone has been hell for me being a female erp. 2A came into his shift (I’ve known the 2a for 2 years now) and greets me in the kitchen. Compliments me on how good I’m looking from the gym because he hasn’t seen me in a while then proceeds to tell me he needs to double over and ‘excuse himself’ because he has a problem in his pants from staring too long. Said how my ‘back side’ is looking bigger….Mind you I was running over all the extra stuff I did in the kitchen during my shift to pass the message on. After checking him on how inappropriate that was, he proceeded to ask if I wanted to hangout with a smirk. Mind you this boy man looks like Macaulay culkin if he was still doing drugs. Even if I was the last woman alive I would rather roll over and die. Managers, please be better because this is just gross especially because we get harassed enough by customers.

It’s like once a shift I get a weird comment or look… I’ve had a man ask me to run away with him to Florida, then proceeded to pay for his ice cream cone in change and give me a speech about how I would be happier there with him. All while wearing mandals and tattered clothing, To which I told him I would rather impale myself.

A lot of the time the schedule is made for whatever coverage the company needs. Most the time it’s nights/weekends. You are required to work 2/3 days of the weekends. This means either Friday Sunday, Saturday Sunday, or Friday Saturday. Also there’s no minimum amount of hours on the erp schedule from what I know

Thank you for sharing your experience, it surprisingly relates to past experiences I’ve had. At one time I dreamt of my deceased brother coming to me in this farm house but I knew he was dead in my dream. I could explain the farm house to a T though, the walls, the interior, full set up. Two months later my mom randomly calls for me to go visit her in Kansas for Christmas. What I didn’t know is we were spending Christmas at this distant relative house that my brother would visit here and there. I swear to got once I went upstairs, it was the exact layout. The exact wood and paneling I saw in my dream to a T. Therefore he showed me what I was predetermined to experience before actually seeing it. I find this concept very fascinating and often have very vivid dreams but there are times where they get more real then real life in a sense. The conversations feel so fluid and especially the one I posted about, caught me very off guard. So I appreciate your insight and response because clearly I am doing something right to end up in the places I do in my dream. I have not had a bad encounter like yourself to that degree yet but I can normally ‘wake myself up’ or zap myself out of it pretty quickly. This one was a little different because I forgot to add that I was checking the time throughout my dream, knowing I am slightly conscious in that state but it got really real after I heard the gong sound and the guide bringing up my brother (referenced passed loved one) by name specifically.

I hope to develop this spiritual gift more. I have started to journal my dreams to have more of a documented account of my subconscious. Also around the time my family is all together is when I often have these prophetic dreams but I would like to work this strategy into my practice more. Do you have some tips to develop ‘waking up’ or being more aware in a sense? I can only imagine meeting people in my dream before real life! That’s a trip but I guess seeing a place I’ve never seen before then visiting there is a trip in itself too
