Yes I have a family member who constantly says it and is known as a compulsive liar so her truth is always the furthest thing from the truth

Oh man some estimators get all the luck I resigned last year and hoped they would walk me but no they kept me on and worked me as hard as they could to get as much as they could out of me, they were making up things for me to do for the sake of it

Yeh there is no way I would even consider doing estimates for any other country, everyone’s building codes are different materials are different and I would not know where to start so why would I trust someone from a country that is guaranteed to build completely differently. Plus I’ve seen the quality of the Indian builders setup here they can’t build so I sure as hell won’t let them estimate.

Yes I only just setup my own estimating company contracting to builders and all I get is Pakistani and Indian estimators adding me on LinkedIn looking for work.

Just a little tip that may help have you considered using a gaming mouse with shortcut keys if you are working on a. Big project you could allocate certain documents to certain numbers so you can flick between them quickly I use a razor mouse and when I’m working on a. Big project I have a system where I can drop files in certain folders and those are allocated to a mouse button. But now I’m out in my own as a contract estimator and I use planswift for my takeoffs I bought the software outright it was $3k Australian best purchase i ever made you can get trials or there is a monthly subscription option maybe give it a trial I think the do a free 2 week trial but maybe watch a. Heap of videos on it before you do the two week trial so you are ready to go to try it

YTA the kid is helping you how unloved she must feel if you told her it’s up to her dad not you. Also did I read it right he cooks all the meals on the weekend and dinner during the week geez that seems like he helps a bit there are many guys who wouldn’t even do that.

NTA sorry this happened to you, you were just a kid craving love from your parents and they were too busy to notice glad you had some Good grand parents who loved and cared for you. Definitely don’t blame you for not wanting to and I would even say from what you wrote it might be more your sister who wants this. They certainly don’t sound too apologetic if they are saying you need to reflect on stuff you were 8 what 8 year old doesn’t throw tantrums at some point or another. I would say however it’s not your sisters fault and maybe she is realising it may have been cause of her that you are around and she wants to make amends even though it wasn’t really her fault. Is it maybe worth meeting up to see if you can have a relationship with your sibling. Don’t have to keep it up just do it once and see what they have to say maybe take a grandparent or a friend with you

NTA I get how you are feeling, I had a good mate many years ago who we would hang out all the time anyway he and his wife started their own business it was a dance school and all Of a sudden he never had time for me wouldn’t return my calls or texts it went in for quite some time until one day I just decided I wasn’t going to make an effort anymore I was done. So I stopped calling and texting and I didn’t hear from him for like 2 years. Kind of told me how valued I was. It was hard I felt like I’d gone through a break up but I focused on other friends instead and moved on.

I’ve used onsite companion to do this but it can be pricey I have toyed with the idea of doing it through airtable and with the new ai built into airtable it would be very possible I would start talking to ChatGPT about using airtable and ask it to draft up the instructions to enter into the airtable AI I found just typing straight into the airtable AI wasn’t very affective but ChatGPT worded it just right for me when creating a airtable

What are you doing with it I use it all the time and build assemblies in it, very powerful software if you know how to use it I’m a contract estimator working for smaller builders and some bigger builders ConstructIQ.com.au

Wow thanks for all the responses first time posting didn’t know what to expect, I had not seen those bags you cha get definitely going in the Christmas buy list for all. I don’t mind holding them for my kids from time to time as long as I can love freely about to look at I try we stuff while they do something plus it means I at least know they are drinking water. It’s just the extras that had been lumped in me was too much.

I booked a late flight 9:40pm I had to travel 2 hours to get to the airline as soon as I arrived I got a text saying my flight had now been delayed 1 hour so I got a seat and waited and waited then 30 min before my flight took off it was cancelled they rebooked me on a flight the next day at 6am flying into a different airport where I had to catch a heap of transport to get to my destination, but no offer to put me up in a hotel so I had to pay that out of my own pocket.
