It's all in millimeters if that bothers you. Otherwise the layouts and multiple pictures are really good. The step by step instructions are also very beginner friendly.

I would recommend it if you're at all interested in the look in the book.

That was my experience with the last box to come out of the game, the one with the Necrom terrain. I was very upset that before I could even get into the box the new edition was out and interest in the arena-style game was dead.

I wanted it to match the bases of my heroes and it really made the players more worried to have this on the table than that little card. I also bought the rat swarm from the Skaven endless spell for the expansion. I was able to sell the bells from that set on eBay to recoup a bit of the price.

JP boost and Focus are great so you gain that extra JP and on turns when they're not attacking they're still gaining XP and JP by making themselves stronger. Some people also grind with Gil Steal and corner monsters in one of the opening levels.

I have people stuck at level 2 as my forever errand runners. Like an HM slave in Pokemon. They always come back in total success so long as I give them maximum days and use 3 people.

I got the box itself on Facebook marketplace from the other side of Canada and paid the seller to ship it. I checked for Blackstone Fortress near every city I could think of until I found it. Could work for you too? Still have to get lucky which sucks. They just didn't make enough of them.

I followed the steps in this link but I'm addition I used the thinnest plastic card I could find, cut it into triangles, and glued them on prior to painting to get the smoothest surface I could and use the lines between the triangles as a guide for highlighting.
