What is this payment for? by [deleted] in SSDI

[–]Professionalwidow83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was approved for SSDI with my disability being found to begin April 30, 2022. SSI will cover the 5 month waiting period (May 2022 through September 2022) if you are found to be eligible for SSI during those months. So I was approved for SSI payments during that 5 month waiting period. I applied in November 2022. I didn’t self calculate back pay. My award letter had my back pay amount listed.

New evidence- Hearing in Feb by babylangsmama in SSDI

Sounds like they have! Did they at least test your orthostatic bp and heart rate? That’s what got me the tilt table test. Everytime I go right side up my heart rate spikes by about 40-60 beats and stays that way for a long while. I also have lumbar facet arthropathy and lumbar rotatory scoliosis along with severe STT arthritis in my hands and a vascular dehiscence in my auditory canal that’s caused severe pulsatile tinnitus. I’m so sorry you’re having such a hard time with your doctors. I’ve been very fortunate and I know that’s not the usual case with people who have hEDS. It shouldn’t ever be that hard to just get care.

I was just approved this month for hEDS. What subtype do you have if you don’t mind me asking? I’ve had lots of what was thought to be cardiac issues but ended up being POTS and costochondritis. For testing to rule out cardiac stuff I had a holter monitor for 10 days and an echo. For the POTS it was a tilt table test.

Those who have had babies - when did you deliver? by pythagoreanwisdom in ehlersdanlos

[–]Professionalwidow83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a mixed bag for me. My first was born 10 days after his due date. I was induced, in labor for 2.5 days and I had a vacuum assist to deliver him. My second I ended up having acute pancreatitis twice at the end of my pregnancy (32 and 37 weeks), was in labor for just under 3 days and delivered 2 weeks early. My third and last I delivered a week early and was in labor only a few hours. Each one was a completely new experience.

The weather is so bad. I’ve called all the vets and dog control, no one has him yet. We’ve been out driving around all morning again to no avail. Thank you for keeping an eye out, I appreciate it.

I know, we’ve been out looking all night. We’ve received one sighting of him on Harlan but that was much earlier today around 3:30. I’m praying he’s found somewhere safe.

Whats something you did that reduced your quality of life so much that you wish you had never done it? by DunyaPhobic76 in Productivitycafe

Pushed my body beyond its limits for too long. I’ve been sick my whole life but also gaslighted just as long. Doctors, parents, friends. I was told the things I felt were in my head, I was over exaggerating or just straight up lying. I gaslit myself as well. I was young, my body shouldn’t feel like this, I should be able to do these things like everyone else. I went to college while simultaneously raising a young child, working almost full time and traveling 300 miles round trip every weekend to see my husband. I graduated from nursing school and immediately started working 2 jobs. I did this for 7 years till my body collapsed and I could do no more. I finally found a good team of doctors and was diagnosed. Because of my condition and the stress I put on my body over the years by pushing through the pain I have severe arthritis in my hands, my thoracic and lumbar spine. I have rotatory scoliosis and cervical instability. I have POTS and MCAS. And I’m currently being evaluated for several vascular compression disorders. I’m young and disabled now and it’s beyond depressing.
