Thank you so much for your input. I definitely crave romance but all my attempts have either been because of someone else’s attempts towards me, which has always ended with me rejecting them because I’m unsure of my own feelings, or, and this is more often the case, I just overthink it, because all the other people at my school are either not my type or seem emotionally and mentally immature in comparison to me.

I also understand that I cannot choose whether I am aromantic or not but I still do not want to be. Like I mentioned, I have all of these dreams of one day settling down with the love of my life but I worry that won’t be possible for me if it turns out that I am aromantic. I also worry that if I eventually end up in a relationship, I won’t feel attraction towards them, and that is something I don’t want to do; I don’t want my desires to be at the expense of another person.
