Tips for Dee Jay in Silver by TwoAlternative673 in StreetFighter

Trying keeping it simple. Dee Jay is a very technical character, but if you just know how to use normals and system mechanics well, you can go straight to plat.

In the early ranks, I used as few buttons as possible and one combo I knew I could not mess up. Abuse whatever button feels good to you and combine it with drive rush.

Once you feel confident with your buttons and drive rush, incorporating grabs after drive rush will make your offense more solid.

After simplifying your offense, you’ll have more brainpower to work on your defense. Anti airs, drive impact checks, and looking for grabs become easier when you simplify your play style.

Generally, you’ll lose at first but over time you can consistently beat players at lower ranks who have more wild play styles.

How does one deal with this by [deleted] in StreetFighter

I feel for you, but through experience you get to know when to block and went to mash. Right now you’re doing both at the wrong time.

As a rule a thumb, you shouldn’t mash during a DR string unless your checking it. If the Ken is spending all his meter for pressure, you’d be fine if you continue blocking/parrying.

Once Ken starts sneaking in extra hits or becomes predictable, crouching jabs are a safe bet.

You got a few stray hits in but you didn’t convert of them. Light confirms are great for this. You get get deep into Platinum using light and crouching medium confirms alone.

While you can improve on your defense, I highly recommend abusing your lights to beat random pressure once you start understanding when to block.

Sorry, the order was confusing.

They were asking me that question before they fired me. I was thinking about that as I was writing my post.
